NFL Super Bowl XLVI |OT| Matchup More Unwanted Than Madonna's Halftime Show

I'm not 100% sure (he is at his house in Florida). The only thing I know is that he did it with a circular saw...so he had to be doing something really fucking stupid. He was building a frame for a giant projector screen for the super bowl party he was throwing.

Probably tried to grab it before the blade stoped. Some table saws can detect if human flesh makes contact and stops the blade now. Might want to get him that.

why is everyone hating on the guy? seems to me he meant well by trying to stop but his momentum just threw him in. don't get the hate.

I think it's because he didn't recognize the situation until it was too late. He would've been knocked into the endzone anyhow as he should've slid once he broke through the line.

Update: he is out of surgery and doing fine. His ring finger is gone completely. He nicked the bone on his pinky and it may have to be fused, which I guess he'd rather they just cut it off. His middle finger is broken but no nerve damage.

My wife couldn't find a good foam finger so she sent him a hook.

Holy fuck. You guys had quite the evening.

Its crazy how formerly turnover happy Eli turned into one that's been on top of this for the whole playoff

A lot of his turnovers last year were tips by the WRs. The guy has been solid for years but people kept comparing him to the impossible stats his brother puts up.

Did they even show Peyton on the broadcast? I guess he realized his drama was sucking the life out of his brother's moment lol

If I had to guess, I bet he watched it from their workout facility. He watched round 1 and 2 from there then flew to watch the NFC Championship in person secretly. Said he was nervous they'd lose because he wasn't in the training room watching again.

The fuck lol, people are blaming Hernandez as much as Welker now? 0_o

Easier to blame the Mexican - enzark.

I'm already starting to change my opinion on this. If Brady makes a better pass I think it may be a possible TD. Of course he got both hands on the ball, and he should have caught that. Brady could have made a better throw. Even if he makes the play they aren't guaranteed a win.

Yeah he could have but got 4 angry black men coming after his ass.

No dude, not a table saw, a circular saw. Which means he had to be holding the wood in the air and swinging the saw up to it, only way he could get his pinkie and ring.

At the end of the game when the Giants got called for too many men on the field, and it was called they would re-play the down, shouldn't they have also reset the clock? It looked to me like the Patriots got screwed out of 8 seconds.

Everyone was nervous as shit. You have to make those catches, should be muscle memory by now. The pressure got to him.

No penalties result in a clock reset.

Late it on me GAF. My exodus preaching the word of Brady in China has failed for two straight seasons now. I feel lost and abandoned but I will continue to preach the one true faith with my diying breath. One day I will prove to you all.

I don't know what this means, but you have my blessing.

Eznark finally found something Packer and Niner fans have in common, a love of wood.

In all seriousness though sorry about what happened to your father in law.

The only rule I know of is that the game can't end on a defensive penalty.

I figured of all people a hardened coal worker from Pittsburgh P.A. would understand. It's not a big deal. Off hand, ring finger. Best possible scenario.

Yea this is true. I hope he doesn't let the drop affect him to much. I would also like to say I had a feeling Gronk would be useless once they showed him off on media day. Pats never show anyone anything about injuries, and suddenly Gronk is out of the boot for everyone to see. Gronk is a beast, and I hope he has another opportunity to play in the super bowl even if it's not with the Pats.

We'll trade you HoFinley for him. He'll see another Super Bowl that way!

Or just had his hand in the wrong spot and caught it on the backside of the wood.

No, its essentially a free play for the offense, and here's why. If that pass was completed, the Patriots would have declined the penalty and the play would have counted.

He has always been erratic when pressured. Tonight was no different. That fourth quarter drive was evidence of it. Completely and totally missed a wide open Welker and threw the ball about 7 yards behind where it should have been on a simple crossing route to Branch.

He's been shaky all year against decent teams. They just never beat anyone until the last week and got lucky in beating BAL. He's slipped a little. Granted, football is a lot harder when you don't have the defensive signals

Do you think they'd have been better off making Gronk inactive rather than using him as a decoy and running with 10.5 players?

Someone please make a gif of the old man in the gold jacket holding the Lombardi Trophy walking down the field. That was such a lol moment. That is all.

Which team are you going to root for next year?

I think they kind of had to play him. They only have 2 TE's.

Except that it does run the clock. Which made me wonder why teams don't run 15 guys out there on every play when the opponent needs a touchdown. Better chance of stopping the play, and you run the clock.

I missed the details.

I still feel bad. He might have used that hand to masturbate. Even coal workers probably masturbate.

I love Facebook. I have this one Pats fan who was talking all kinds of shit. Now, all the sudden a post flys up "Don't heckle me, I just got bad family news. So, if you heckle me, I'm removing you."

I sent her a pic of Eli hoisting the Lombardi.

I know what you meant. But most cuts besides plywood you could use a table saw.
