The lack of attention and desire for Escape Plan throughout GAF is depressing. =(

bullshit. i'm dying to play it. i am going to download it just as soon as i can. unfortunately i don't think it comes out until the 22nd. unless i missed some news somewhere. i think it and motorstorm rc (the other download i need badly) both come out on the 22nd. somebody please correct me and tell me they are coming on the 15th!

Oh man, thanks for that. I actually have a PSP one very similar to that but it has a seperate padded compartment inside to protect the PSP. That should work fine.

What I meant was though, I had my eye one something different this time around. I'd like a hard case and these first two I really take a shining to but all three of these seem to be missing enough room for a USB cable.

Case 1 http://www.zavvi.com/10587252.html (This one really needs an image with the Vita sitting inside. Also looks like it could be the most durable)

Case 2 http://www.zavvi.com/10587251.html (I know this one stores 8 games and 2 memory cards. Great design also)

Case 3 http://www.zavvi.com/10587253.html(The traditional clam shell design like they use for glasses but again, doesn't show enough pics. Looks like no room for anything).

Yeah I actually flipflopped my preorders back and forth between all 3 of those LOL, but I finally settled on the big travel case because I reckon the Vita will fit in there with a silicone protector on, and I dont think it would fit in the others.

How is the front protector? do you feel like you should have gotten one that cover the whole face plate? do you hit the edges of it a lot as you slide you fingers in game play?
the front protector looks great and nope i never hit the edges. it seems like the whole face of the vita is made of the same plastic, so if the screen can scratch, so could the rest of it i suppose. i only really care about the screen so i'd rather not put one over the whole thing.
Damn it....I was just about to purchase it. Thanks.
Damn, but I had my suspicions when taking a closer look at pictures, not to mention the shape of that silicone system cover that Hori has.
you could still cut it, but yeah it's not going to fit unless you alter it.

I'm trying to convince a friend to get a Vita at launch, and the thing keeping him on the fence is his worry that there won't be any titles with rich multiplayer content on Day 1. He's interested in Unit 13, but he wants something that he can play with me right away. For those more in the know than I, what game is the most likely to get him off the fence and a Vita in his hands? No genre is out, though I have to exclude Wipeout because we both suck horribly at it.

Can people stop complaining about the PSP games not all being playable on the PSVita day one....wait and be patient good things happen for those who WAIT! Also quit complaining about load times just play the dam game and enjoy it.....you people ask for way too much coming from a portable system that really is giving you every dam thing out there.

i hear there is no english in it. and the comic cutscenes have a lot of writing. this may or may not be true i am just doing my best to talk you out of it.
No you are right, there are NO other language options.
I really want it too, but I understand the game is very story centric, which makes it kinda pointless to import if you cant understand it.
Will be downloading the moment GAF tells me its up though.
Edit: I will be downloading the LOCALISED version.

Is Wipeout the free game that you get if you purchase a data plan in the US? How does all of that work? I'm considering cancelling my Wipeout preorder if that is the case.

Escape Plan is definitely one of the main Vita titles that has my attention. Since I read it's mainly touch controls though, I'm a little weary - but for $15, I'll definitely get it right away.

I'm still debating launch titles in my mind.
I'm going between Lumines + Rayman Origins, or Fifa, or Ninja Gaiden...

I have fond memories of Ninja Gaiden kicking my ass on the XBOX

it's so fucking hard to take screenshots in games. pressing the start/ps buttons involves taking your thumbs off whatever else it's doing. i can't take any good shots of drifting corners in modnation because of this.

Tell someone close to you to hold both buttons while you play? lol

"NOW!!"

How is the framerate? I canceled my preorder for modnations because the demo had crappy frame rate.

it plays great, but yeah...the framerate is a bit choppy. i was pretty annoyed during the first race, BUT i didn't really notice it at all in the second. i think it's something you can get used to.

ATTENTION PURCHASERS OF THE SONY SCREEN PROTECTORS

You cannot use the second one for the back. I tried wasted it trying to do so. It's too big vertically and hangs off the edges of the touchpad.

Thanks for the info! I got two rear protectors from eBay (certainly knockoffs, but it's kinda ok for the rear pad; nothing but official Hori for the front screen for me) so I'm good, but now I save $10.

Can someone tell me if I made the right choice by selecting Wipeout 2048, Rayman Origins, and Army Corps of Hell for my launch titles?

I'm interested in Uncharted and Hotshots, but am turned off by the sub-HD resolution and price of Uncharted and will probably pick up Hotshots a little later down the line.

Am I making any glaring mistakes, or is my logic seemingly sound here?

rayman is fantastic on ps3. the trailer made it look identical so i'd say it's a great choice. it's not a short game either.

i have been playing wipeout tonight and it's awesome. you won't regret it.

i know nothing about army corps of hell.

Great, thank you.

Army Corps looks right up my alley, I'm just afraid it may be illogical not to get Uncharted when buying a PSVita, and have heard a lot of good things about Hotshots.

I think I'll remain confident in my launch choices, and I'll be picking up Gravity Rush the moment it launches.

One good thing I can say about the Vita is that the software is definitely compelling for a launch, better than any in recent memory.

Anyone know if Y's 1 and 2 transfers over?

I just double dipped on that one on PSN. I know it's been noted that it's not on the list's but I'm patient to wait for it to work if it doesn't already. I have it downloaded on my PS3 alongside 4 total games waiting for the Vita.

Someone was mentioning escape plan. My biggest beef with itwas the pinch technique where you touch front and back simultaneously.

It was so poorly implemented and felt so off that it immediately made me hit the home button wanting to forget it.

I just dont think its right or, more importantly, fun (the control scheme that is)

I was excited for the game since it has an awesome art style, but playing the demo at Gamestop today, I don't know, I just couldn't really get into it.

Just finished getting all my non-Vita-downloadable PSP games across to my JP Vita using my PS3.

Another game I hadn't seen mentioned yet is Gran Turismo PSP - works fine. Looks pretty decent on the Vita screen, although the aliasing is pretty pronounced. Playing with the analog stick instead of the nub is a joy.

Can't wait for the PS1 support to hit so I can pull all my RPGs across.

Out of curiosity, what games do you move on to it?

Transferred from my PS3

Peace Walker
GT PSP
Killzone Liberation
Pursuit Force

From the Vita PSN store I re-downloaded

Tactics Ogre
FFT : War of the Lions
Disgaea
FF : Dissidia
Pinball Dreams & Fantasies (which look pretty damn nice in vertical orientation)

On the Vita front I have JP Uncharted, RR and UMvC retail cards.

Going to buy all my Western games on DD - will pick up Wipeout 2048 first, then Gravity Rush whenever that comes out (JP demo was excellent, but I am too lazy too keep switching accounts now that the US store is up).

I believe the verbiage implies that you must subscribe a month of AT&T DataConnect, to get a free PSN network game, which is up to a $15 value. The free included month doesn't count... We haven't seen a USA released system in the wild yet to confirm, right?

Yes, you are right. I forgot about the subscription.
