It's probably some bullshit about keeping the branding about "touch" and not confusing consumers (which it wouldn't).

Either that or Wacom would sue them...

Basically it renders drawing on iPad a toy and keeps it from being something actually useful.

It's baffling. There's such a huge demographic of artists who use apple stuff that they refuse to throw us a bone. Wacom wouldn't sue at all since there's alternatives like N-trig already.

I got a white iPad 2 and it still looks fresh. No color differentiation in the white.

Me and the GF both have White iPhone 4's and she has a white iPad 2 too. No colour change at all, I got my white iPhone 4 day one too, so it's a fair few months old.

It also hides marks and small surface scratches really well too!

What would justify buying an iPad over a laptop when they're practically in the same price range? Not trolling, I'd like to buy that new iPad but I feel like it's overpriced even though it has no real competitors in the tablet market.

I don't take it as trolling, but they are a lot smaller, and IMO a lot more convenient in certain uses. I like being able to just plop it on a table and poke at it.

Memory is actually a big energy sink that drags battery performance when these devices are asleep, since it always has to be on. Microsoft was having issues with it as well.

oh most definitely. Which is why i found it silly to say. The ipad2 ran fine on what it had and Apple's OS and app pausing works well in conjunction with it, i'm not knocking it for having the RAM it had.

Can't see pixels = retina. At 15 inches you can't see any pixels on this display, so it's retina.

Weird indeed, but I don't think it will matter that much unless they release an iPad that can be hooked up to a TV and release a standard controller for it.
