It has a snowballs chance in a who framed roger rabbit version of hell now, but I would love one more crossover that lead to a new amalgam miniseries. I would buy that shit standard and digital.....

What pissed me off is that busiek was given permission to do jla/avengers and he didn't even mention anything from Dc vs. marvel. What a jerk

thats why its time for a good ol'fashion DC style reboot or it would be pretty hillarious to just throw them together despite the awkwardness. I mean if Geoff can have his super friends fanfiction in Justice league and Bendis is writing an Avengers series using the cast from the movies. I think the rest of us deserve an xmen animated series inspired comic

Also,

better than anything written by Alan moore

What comic is that from?

Gambit is leaps and bounds the worse X character. Maggot could leap from the pages and violate me with his worms and he still would be infinitely better then Gambit.

Maggot is dead. He died in Weapon X series awhile back I thought? Did he experience a resurrection?

i tried a few issues of unwritten but can't really get into it. i didn't like what fables did with the literals either so i think i just don't get down on the meta-ness of it all. should i stick with it?

my current list:
invincible
batman
saga
wolverine & the x-men
fables

anything i NEED to add? i've already got a lot of super hero stuff so maybe something else (i know a lot of people suggest daredevil but i just finished bendis' run on it and i'm a little burnt out on the character. also have a lot of super hero books already on my list.)

thanks for the suggestions, guys@

American Vampire

it's written by the guy that's writing Batman, Scott Snyder

Deadpool.....because he's funny and you don't have funny comics on that list. Amazing Spiderman would be a good one. The Ends of the Earth story arc is going on.

How are there people in this world that hate gambit? I remember back in High school every time a new xmen movie was coming out first question out of everyones mouth in class was "Is gambit in it?". He's an incredibly popular character back in the 90s I would say if Marvel used him more he would have become more popular than Wolverine.

sonova, I didn't know Dark Horse had thier own digital. I just kept hoping the one on Fire would put some up..guess I'll go through them and look at them on the computer. excite!

Idk he should just go bad guy if they need to use him, he's an asshole. I give him extra hate because he ruins Rogue.

Am I missing anything by not picking up IDW's Infestation story? I only follow their TMNT books and I haven't even thought about getting the Turtles tie in to that. Its pretty much self-contained right? I ain't missing anything dealing with the main book?

Are they REALLY going with this direction in Wonder Woman? Are we REALLY doing the "feminism is evil and kills men, argh" thing?

Really?

Really?

Cliff Chiang is literally the only reason to check out this book. And only on a discount.

They're going the "how it worked in actual greek mythology" route, no? Male kids were exiled, killed, or left to die in the wilderness in the actual greek myths of the amazons, I thought.

Anyone check out John Carter: The Gods of Mars? It looks very pretty. Haven't checked out the movie but I might give it a shot now.

"How it worked in actual Greek mythology" WAS the "feminism is evil and kills men, argh" route, so you're both right.

And from what I've read it seems like Wonder Woman is still wandering through her own book without a clue. How sad.

I get that, and I'm not the biggest WW fan so I could be wrong, but I thought a huge part of the appeal was that Marston took the all-female society thing(created by Greeks informed by fear/hatred of women outside of baby-making) and flipped it own its head for a symbol of female power. I just think the whole thing goes against the original concept of WW.
Pretty much. I washed my hands of Azzarello's take very early on.

Looks like I bailed out just in time.

That's not true. Bailing out just in time would have been a half dozen issues ago. But this is just in time enough, I guess.

Yeah, i know, I guess I meant to say that I believe Azarello was thinking of things mythologically and not politically/socially.

yeah but wolverine was big by this issue in the very least, its oversimplifying it but by this issue he was def big time

Best. Batman cartoon. EVER.

What, you don't just love the DCnU Billy Batson, hard-edged smarmy foster kid with the heart of gold?

Why do we feel the need to change everything nice?

Pretty much, I'm done with both JL and WW after this month.
WW for the reasons listed above and JL because of the Billy Batson changes and the fact that Hal being the GL makes no goddamn sense at all when viewed against what's going in the Green Lantern book.

Oh man... Rocketeer Adventures... Oh man. :D

In one of the shorts by Stan Sakai, Cliff
is flying over some farmland when he gets shot down by a young man named "Lex" (wink) who wants to steal his jetpack and use it to build a better one. He's saved by a little boy dressed in red and blue (wink wink), who tells Cliff he's always dreamed of flying, and Cliff takes him for a ride as a reward. When his parents get home -- his mother's named "Martha" by the way (wink wink wink) -- the boy comes running through the door with a cape tied around his neck (wink wink wink wink) and they chalk it up to imagination when he tells them he flew. In the last panel the boy exclaims "Up Up and Away!" as he runs with his dog chasing behind (tired of me winking yet?).
Totally sweet.

There's also a Duck Dodgers/Marvin the Martian sendup that's amazing too. Love these Rocketeer anthologies.

LUTHER STRODE #6?!

LUTHER STRODE #6!

YEAH!

Also grabbed some other crap.

Bought more sketch covers with the intention of drawing shit on them and selling them. This time it's for characters I enjoyed at some time. Punisher, Hulk, Incredible Hulks. . . :X

I need to start making money on these because I keep spending money on them with the intention of doing that. >:|
