The game feels too hectic.
The maps are way too small to support the lethality of the guns. I also find it kind of strange that the spawn times are really fast, but capturing objectives takes forever. If an objective happens to pop up right next to the enemy spawn it seems impossible to take unless your team was spawn camping them beforehand.
Also, the loadout UI is shit, etc.
Is it just me or do squad spawns need some major work?
75% of the time its Intel compromised or in combat and other are alot of spawns into grenade and bullets.
AG94 is awful, even upgraded imo. No range at all.
417 is ok auto but amazing burst, went 30 & 2 on Pipeline with it.
Sucks you have to choose between it and the Stoner MG though.
I honestly dont think that I'm experiencing half of the frame rate issues that you guys are. My games (around 20-25) have been pretty solid. A couple of disconnects, but that's it.
Does anyone know how to do the dive/jump maneuver? I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do it. It's not the directional double-tap as it is to roll whilst prone. STUMPED, YO.
If anyone still has some x360 codes lying around, can I get 2? My brothers want to join in the fun too.

Waffles!
for sideways dive/roll to prone it is the same as roll but standing you have to hold O right after(takes getting used to)
Lol I been doing it with double tap. Thanks aswell that makes it alot easier.Ah-ha! Got it. It's not quite the same, though, as all you need do is hold one of the directions (left or right) and hold O/B, rather than having to double-tap the direction (that would be a bit too onerous). Just make sure you don't keep the sprint/cover button held, as that will result in the knee-slide > prone maneuver, regardless of the direction. Thanks, Razgriz-Specter.
It's a small thing but it adds up and it says a lot about the entire UI design philsophy imo. The fact that you have a blind menu with even 2 choices is dumb. You shouldn't have to feel around to figure out what is previous or next, even if it is only 2 spaces (and eventually there are 2 more things to unlock so that makes it 5). This doesn't excuse them from requiring a button to switch between factions when the factions are listed vertically to the left of the characters either.
They use a carousel for the gun menu. Why not a carousel for the menu that sits before that.? And speaking of the gun upgrade area, not do you have to rotate though 10 different items instead of being able to just navigate via the 3d breakout but the carousel is in a 3d view which completely obscures what the 2nd option from the left/right are.

What's before underbarrel? What's after side rail? Who knows! Another thing that is puzzling is you can't even hold down left/right to cycle through. You actually have to tap left/right 5 times to get to optics.
I don't really have a problem picking people out of environments although I've played a ton of MW3 and some of those maps are all grey so I've gotten decent at spotting moving enemies. Then, there is the fact that most of the soldiers "blend" into the environment. It's not because the camo works. It's because everything is brown. EVERYTHING. Where are the god damn colors!

Yeah, this game isn't for me.
Snipers seem to kill you on the spot in canned animations. More than once I've been in a transition animation and have just died. I look at the info readout and it doesn't show a weapon. Surely enough it's a sniper whose taken a potshot and hit nowhere near me and got a kill somehow. AK74U is useless - gun on gun you just die against rifleman. Sensor grenade is basically the only way to set up kills. So as an engineer I can basically chuck a few grenades and get some assists then wait until I'm killed by a Rifleman's laser gun because I haven't unlocked the UAV or I have and the game has done a poor job of informing me. UI is a designer's nightmare. ADS blinds you. RDS and weapon attachments destroy vanilla loadouts. Framerate is pretty awful most of the time.
But I guess someone will come out and tell me I'm wrong or something now.
With the small nature of the maps, squad spawning isn't really all that usefull either as it takes about 30 seconds max to reach any given point on pipeline from both spawns for example. And with the run and gun nature of the current gameplay, spawning at your squad will most likely result in an immediate death through portable nukes and laser Tag AR fire.
ok thats it!
i actually like this game alot (besides the lag, bugs & grenade spam) but im done playing objective games when
not 1 single person in as many games don't communicate or have mics, whats the point when 1 team plays the objective and the others play TDM.
kinda annoying
please put TDM in retail and ready at launch.
please
Yes bad teammates are so annoying in this game. You are trying to complete the objective and you see them lying down on the ground on the other side of the map.
They don't know how and when to review, what to do,how to resuply etc.
Well, balance-wise right now engineer is the weakest class in terms of lethality so I'm not really surprised you're having issues. The UAV is pretty cool as far as checking ahead of where you're at and stuff but I found that it doesn't even matter because the rifleman is so good. An example is I would launch my UAV, move it forward, check for enemies then go out and try to clear them with a flank. The result would just be me spraying my pea shooter then dying. With the rifleman I have almost no clue where anyone is but I'd just move forward and smoke everything in my path LOL.
I need a code for my brother in law to play with me. He's not really a forum guy but he's been really looking forward to this game. I can offer the below trade for a code if you want!
Have: CoD Black Ops Map pack 4 (360)
Want: 1 beta code (360)
I'll go first!
Thanks. This game should really be played as a team.![]()
I don't think it is entirely their fault. It is a beta afterall so everyone is relatively new to the game and the game doesn't do a really good job of explaining anything to you. I honestly still have no clue how the HVT objective round works or how to resupply..
Agreed. I really like the way they handled sprinting and the subtle turning with the LS. After having played a lot of ME3 mp it is nice to be able to run and steer lolI have to say... being able to jump from gunsmith to the live range with nary a load was some really great design.
This game shines in places.
There's just a lot more wrong than right. Curious to see what happens with the retail game, but I suspect they won't alter much, and this is pretty much representative.

I'm kind of bummed because on a basic level the game is a lot of fun. If they said they'd have a barebones mode or something similar to COD I'd probably be more open to getting the game but as it stands there is too much stuff that turns me off from it. It looks like it is just going to get over complicated.
I might rent it or something though; does anyone know if this is this going to have an online pass?
My biggest problem are the grenades. Holy shit are those overpowered especially in the context of the map and the objective based nature.
They need to have more cook time once it lands, at this point a grenade warning marker is useless, you're fucked anyway.
Lol at win class and troll class descriptor....so true.
You just need one engineer per side to fuck up the Squad spawn system. As long as a UAV is in the air, squad spawns are blocked, and you can basically cut down a whole teams reinforcement with a drone (plus having the surviving ones painted red through all walls and geometry.
on Pipeline you can basically completely deny squad spawning for pretty much 50 % of the map with a single UAV. UAVs need a serious tweak. Either let them have less range or limited air time. At least let people spawn in on squadmates that are compromised by Intel, or just get rid of squad spawns entirely.

I've just finished a match where both sides agreed to not use grenades, UAVs or Recon grenades, and boy did the game increase in intensity. Without all the needless clutter and the borderline idiotic gadgetry the game actually became tactical. Too bad that Ubisoft is seemingly more interested in throwing every possible gadget and overpowered crap at players than to focus on the main gameplay.
ok thats it!
