Thor has the most memorable planets and most epic fight sequences.

So Thor>Iron Man>The rest of the marvel movies>Captain America.

IM1 > Thor > IM2 > CA > TIH

Though it's hard to compare, since each one has certain attributes and/or moments that I enjoy over an other. Either way, Avengers blows them all out of the water, obviously.

Saw the movie yesterday with some friends and I couldn't stop laughing at some really bad decisions. It wasn't a bad movie, it was fun but wow there was a lot of shit that made no sense whatsoever.

I'm trying to think of some bad decisions (from the makers of the film? the characters? I don't even know which one he means!!), and I'm coming up with a blank.

How effective are they with giving the characters roughly equal screen time?

For the four characters that had their own films, it was pretty fair. But I think Iron Man probably came out top and Captain America probably had least. But just by small amounts. Counting all six. Hawkeye gets the short end of the stick by a lot.

I hope not very. Renner, Johannson, Ruffalo and Evans need to be on screen a LOT less than RDJ and Hemsworth.

If you do want to know...
RDJ, Evans, Johannson, Hemsworth, Ruffalo, Renner

Didn't think it was funny as it was made out but Thor got the best line. Adopted made me lol

Why the hate for The Ruffalo?

Speaking of, how did he fare in the movie, for peeps who have seen it? Does he make a good Banner?

Ah interesting. That's about what I expected, certainly for Hawkeye, at least.

Ruffalo is a good Banner I think. I liked him more than Eric Bana and Ed Norton at least. Definite best protrayal of Hulk so far though.

For me, he was one of the best things about the film. Loved his take on the character. But I was already a pretty big fan of the actor.

He was my favourite Banner out of the three semi-recent Hulk films.

Awesome to hear. Ruffalo is one of my favorite actors and I thought he'd make a nice Banner.

Ed Norton is one of my favs too, certainly (as the avatar would indicate), but if you were gonna replace him you probably couldn't do much better than a guy like Ruffalo.

I'd say Thor had the least. At least that's the feeling I left with, as someone who was very much looking forward to Hemsworth reprising the role.

An excellent Banner. I'd rate him above both Bana and Norton.

Hulk/Banner really do steal the show. The crowds love them even despite RDJ being back in top form as Stark/Ironman.

I thought Ruffalo was kinda underwhelming, to be honest. He seemed a little uncomfortable with the role.

I think that's the way he wanted to play the role. Like a drug addict who wants to come clean, as someone pointed out in that interview with Whedon a few posts ago.

The biggest laugh in my screening was when
Hulk grabbed Loki mid sentence and threw him around the place!
funny stuff.

Puny God!

Yeah, I understand that. I just got the sense that Ruffalo himself was a little out of his comfort zone, and he has sort of admitted as much in interviews. But perhaps a rewatch will change my perspective.

What does this mean for a tracking newb?
Just an estimate. It could go either way based on the presales in the next few days but I doubt they will drop off a cliff.

This means that the chances of a 150M weekend just keep getting stronger by the day as almost all BO sources keep predicting a 150M+ OW.

I've always thought Hulk's a boring character and I hated the Ang Lee movie, not seen the Norton one... anyway, I thought Ruffalo was great. That's the first time I've liked Banner/Hulk, and Banner's 'big moment' line at the finale was goosebumps material. I'll not go further in case of spoilering.

Is the 3D worth it?

absolutely not. I saw it in 3d and barely remember anything being in 3d.

Movie is AWESOME, but 3d didn't impress me once (I'm not a 3d hater either)

are you talking about (massive specific finale movie spoilers)
You see that's my secret, I'm always angry -> Instant change and beatdown of giant monster? because that was the coolest bit in the whole movie. Followed by the second most bad ass bit when loki pulls the whole 'you people are so far beneath me that......' and then gets pummeled.
