I can't believe people seriously think you'll need to buy/bundle this just because the thread title says it's for multiplatform games.
Obviously they want 360 dudebros to not be alienated and mention it as such but...
...Maybe the OP should include basic common sense statements like that the tablet gamepad has all the same inputs and can be used just as well in any game while also at the very least giving you better touch access to all the OS stuff shown in the presentation even if the developers didn't make any special touch based functions within the game.
Which this controller won't affect their decision to do so as it's still not the default controller every WiiU owner will have and they always had the option of not using the touch screen for anything or anything meaningful based on their own game design.
You'll only really need this for multiplayer (where applicable, other games may support the Wiimotes so many people already own) and you were always bound to need something like this as we already knew at most we'll get 2player tablet support, if that.
I wonder if this Pro thing includes the microphone though. Then again, you'll probably need the tablet pad closeby anyway, to start the system and what not, so it could double as a Wii Speak type thing like when the hipster dude video chatted with the old dude.
As for bundling a Wiimote, I don't think they need to considering how well that system and its controllers sold.
