[Ubi-Conf] Watch_Dogs Announced (Video/screens added) [Up: Xbox 360/PS3/PC]

This game is game of the show, no doubt. Incredible showing, came out of no where.

Yep, exactly how I feel. Wasn't expecting much, but this blew me away. I was bitching as the demo started and it was just the player walking down the street, but I'm glad they showed that bit, as it gave some much needed context.

Cannot wait to get this game, if the DRM is right. First time I've said even that much about an Ubisoft games in a long time.

. Maybe it will have multiple characters working for some kind of organization that you play as?

Don't know if it was already posted:
Look at the source code of the viral/teaser site (the one which is looking like the page of the club). There is reference to a video (video/*.mp4). Just add it to the link of the teaser site and you'll download a video of the club owner.

Sorry, that I cannot provide the exact link, but I forgot the title of the video and I'm on my mobile right now :(

we have to go deeper

The whole thing looked scripted to me. I think I might be the only one who thinks that.

I think a lot of it looked really scripted, like when he pulls the guy out of the car and tells him to keep his head down, but it all looks really well integrated, it doesn't break the illusion by making a sweeping camera movement and drawing your attention to it, really cool

Edit: even a lot of the pedestrian reactions looked like canned one off things for the car crash, but still amazing

Ubi deserves the respect this E3.

They killed MS Conference really easy and fast and they were humble. Shame on that dirt mouth of that Beyonce + the kid from Juno that were presenting the conference.

Aisha (I forget her name, might be wrong) was raunchy and even funny at times and the dumb white dude was annoying, yes, but made a good target. The only real fuck up that comes to mind was the "eSports" thing and that didn't go as bad as I would have thought.

This is my game of the show so far. Nintendo or Sony is going to have to pull something pretty special out to top this. In fact, my top 5 of show so far are:

1. Watch_Dogs
2. Far Cry 3
3. Assassin's Creed 3
4. Halo 4
5. Rayman Legends

Who would of thought a week ago that Ubi-Soft was to going to show out like it did.....

Ubisoft having a good conference was the biggest surprise of E3 so far

I mean it looks like Ubisoft equivalent of GTAV if they spent the same amount of money & time on their own franchise.
The most advanced feature that looked next gen was the cloth physics & even that could be done this gen.
Yep. This was just a nice looking PC version. Was never really thinking PS4/next Xbox when watching it personally.

Iam most impressed that this is not a rollercoster-gundisneyland-hollywood-circlejerk-an-explosion-every-30-second game like the rest we have seen today.

.

What if its not?? Then hoooly shit..

But ur prob right.. I have to see the sequence again to see if the player had full control of causing the crash. Was the cars in place before hand? Random traffic flow? Would that exact same sequence be same if u were to do it again?

I honestly expected this whole E3 to be a giant letdown, but this more than makes up for any disappointments that are sure to come.

Never has "shut up and take my money" been so true.

So is this one long animation or a series of button presses? Stuff like this is why I find the demo suspicious.

From the screenname on top of his head I assumed it was multiplayer. It looked like a typical SteamID/Gamertag

I'm guessing that the PS3 and 360 versions will both be quietly canned once Sony and MS announce their new consoles.
Yeah, there's just no way this game will run at the current visual fidelity on PS3 /360, and I would hate to see it downgraded to fit on them.

The demo didn't look very scripted but I find it hard to believe that stuff like the traffic lights thing is just one of multiple options. Getting major too good to be true vibes

edit: also wtf is up with the ending. Does it have an MMO component or something?!

Looks great, going to be interesting to see how the console versions hold up but this is how I envision visuals once DX11 starts being standard. Good on Ubi or demoing a game on a high end PC instead of a current gen console.

Game of the Show for me so far, wasn't expecting something like this to come out of that Ubisoft Conference.

So good....

I'm watching the gameplay demo right now... Jesus this game seems so awesome. It's in the same vein as Person of Interest, one of my favourite television shows, but far darker and morally murky.

Alright, so far, Ubi, best of the show. Amazing.

Yeah this is how you do scripted. Explosions actually feel significant and not just your average firework like they do in most games. Absolutely amazing.

this is how you do it. show off/announce a game or concept that's intended for the nextgen before the consoles are even announced.

as opposed to last time when they all had that amazing clusterfuck of name/title dropping and mountains of conceptual renders right at the last minute as the consoles were announced.

im still waiting for ni-oh.

The crash doesn't look like real Physics at work, which leads me to believe that its scripted. The way the cars line up when they crash is also a giveaway that the scene is scripted. Its a mighty impressive scene regardless.

Now that after rayman origins uni has abandoned drm on pc copies on steam, I'm good to go on buying this for pc. Looks good! I'd like to know if I can avoid guns completely though...

Also game of the show so far even without a bow...

This game came out of nowhere and looks AMAZING!

One of the most impressive things is nothing in the demo looked 'gamey', e.g. combat, shooting, just the general world. So realistic/movie like

Pretty awesome. I liken it to Person of Interest.

Shame its this gen (I guess I was hoping for it to be not as far developed and for next gen consoles including Wii U). 2012 confirmed yet or just consoles?

I had to change my pants about 3 times during that demo. The premise is fantastic, if it plays anything like the demo, i might never leave my house again. Incredible.

It's definitely one long animation, whether it will be broken up with qte prompts or if it's just a one press melee takedown I don't know, looks fucking cool though I love how the guard puts his hand up before the last blow

looked amazing, but lol at the car sound effects. All that amazing stuff only to end with the shittest car audio. Anyways gimme gimme gimme.

Yeah, the engine sound was horrid ... Handling looked shit as well but hey, it's still early but not something I'd show off like that.

Hate games with obvious Saints Row esque handling.
