Just started NG+ in Arkham City, going to clean up a few trophies, not sure if I'll try the campaigns.
Other than that I've been playing a few Gamecube games(no trophies here :/), and I've also completely given up on Peace Walker and Sly 3, awful games IMO. I'm going to go back to some older games and clean up, I'm thinking of getting the plat in Dead Space: Extraction, having the plat in all 3 games would be great.

I'm playing Perfect Dark. It's made me realize what a little bitch I've become. There is no healing and there are no checkpoints. It's like regular chapter-by-chapter NYM from Max Payne, but it's not the special way to play - it's just how the game is designed.

And I used to be competent at these games when I was younger. I reached Jungle on 00 agent in GE back in the day. And I got up to Carrington Institute on Perfect Agent back then too.

Now I'm having trouble beating the game on Special Agent.

Man, I don't like the Max Payne 3 multiplayer enough to invest another 100+ hours into it just for two achievements. I have three achievements left: get a shutout in Gang Wars, get to level 40, get to level 50.

I think I'll be happy with 950/1000 and just call it a day. I'll play multiplayer until I get a shutout in gang wars then move on to another game.

Heh I'm definitely hoping that the DLC is good AND that it has decent achievements. That could definitely bring me back, and would help me grind towards level 50.

Problem is we know almost nothing about the DLC... A real shame.

You can get to lvl 40 & 50 by playing Arcade mode Score attack too you know

I'm pretty interested in the NYM co-op DLC myself.


On a side note, here's the achievement list for Persona 4: Arena. Seems pretty hard based on the challenges you have to complete, but I'm not familiar with ARC's fighting games.

The way some hate them with a passion you would think that Achivements and killed their parents or favourite pet or something, I don't see what is wrong with them, it isn't like us lot that do like collecting go round saying everyone should do the same.

Finished Trine 2 over the weekend.

I have popped Sacred 2 back in on the PS3. Anyone interested in the four-man co-op trophy? I know voice is borked, but aside from full armor set, I know I can grind the rest.

How is the game, a friend lent it to me but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It is a rather nice concept of a hack'n'slash game. Most trophies are easy, but platinum takes effort.

Why the game got such a bad rep at launch:

• Main campaign is short. A couple of nights gaming at most.
• Graphics can get very rough at times.
• AI is hopeless.
• Sounds are glitched.
• Physics are glitched.
• Stupid inventory management.
• Party management is completely broken.
• Limited enemy variations.

Why people should be more interested in this?

• The game makes very good use of the Jackson JRRT aesthetics. Especially the bad guy designs.
• Scratches that roguelike itch.
• Loot whoring.
• It's Middle-Earth, dude.
• When it works, it is great.
• Follows Diablo III style - first you beat the normal difficulty, then it ramps up, then it ramps up again.
• Story is pointless, yet fun.
• Some good voice acting from no-name actors. Lip sync is horrible though.

A lot of the problems mentioned above can be alleviated by playing it multiplayer, I guess. None of my friends list have the game, but co-op would probably be great.

I liked it.

Truly a friendly community here. Also a readable trophy thread because those trophy websites, while being a great information source, are so bloated with tags, cards and sigs it's not even funny. That's why we have that stuff in post #2.

All I want from god of war is a trophy for beating the hardest mode, I'm getting tired of average joes platinuming that game. I have some hope but after 5 games all having the exact same damn lists....

What a crappy post, average joes are gamers too and most times they're responsible for the majority of the sales popular titles like GOW gets. I mean, how could you find it distasteful that some other gamer got the same plat you got, are you some special being? If you're so elite, I'm sure there are a couple of plats out there that only few people have right now, why dont you go for those instead.

It's crazy, I'm a trophy guy myself, but this post just aggravated me and it's not like the GOW games were cakewalks. GOW1 had a very hard gold trophy where you had to do several challenges in one go, some persons also had trouble with the spikes and the Aries battle when going for the speed run trophy in part 1. Remember the glitch in GOW2, where you missed the third pack of bosses trophy just randomly, chances are you had to play it again just to get it, how many average joes would actually go through all that trouble?

GOW 3 had the Cerebrus fight, the amazed trophy and Zeus could also prove a bit tricky towards the end and lets not forget the challenges in all these games could be painful and frustrating depending on the challenge. It's one thing to like trophies, I'm sure there are some really anal trophies, well nigh impossible trophies out there, but it's still all about having fun, if a form of entertainment gets too frustrating, it's really not worth it. I'm sure beating GOW Ascension in 1:30 on CHAOS difficulty will be right up your alley, but I assure you, that you would be the only one going for such an achievement anyway. The majority of action gamers would curse Sony Santa Monica something fierce and Say F that, I'd rather have the Hannah Montana Plat.

Don't worry, I got it in 45 min.



PvZ is an amazingly fun game to plat imho. Great value for money. Don't let Lucky Spin get to you.
Just try it for 10-15 min at a time during your regular playthroughs. Should keep you somewhat sane. Watch Tv while you do it, should work too lol

Wow...I'm 3-4 Bronze trophies away from Platinuming No more heroes.
Thing is...Completing the 5 remaining survival missions is a pain in the ass. I'll see if I can finish them off tomorrow then get the last 2 trophies. Getting 1.5 mil in Score attack mode is easy when you use the Tsubaki III's Charged Square attack lol.
Note that I am not guaranteeing Platinuming it. If I do...w00t I guess XD

Hey guys, remember when I said last month "fuck the MGS2 VR Missions, I'll play Peace Walker instead". Well, after finishing the main game and having worked my way though most of the Ex Ops, I'm realizing S ranking all these missions is going to take longer than expected.

I guess I'll move on to Dragon's Dogma then.

I said the the same thing about Peace Walker in terms of getting S ranks for all of the missions, but dammit, it just keeps drawing me back in. I'm not getting shit done in terms of trophy collecting because of this game.

You're giving me fights from the series which are all done on your usual hard mode, and a little glitch which requires a 2nd playthrough which most people would do, have no idea who would beat god of war 2 once and never touch it again :/. If you want Chaos Mode in 1h30, go do it. People did crazy stuff before trophies existed. No-materia, level 1 runthroughs of Final Fantasy for example. Trophies don't prohibit you from doing that.

Ok so literally started up little big planet 2 yesterday morning from plus.. Did the first few levels. Started it back up last night and I had every trophy. Not that I'm complaining. Might just buy the dlc an 100 % it ready for the vita version. Not long to go on skyward sword then its time to start up dragons dogma. Didn't like the demo at all but heard nothing but good things. My brother raves about it constantly.

What you're completely missing is that those were horrible experiences for most of the people that went for them. Trophies shouldn't just be for the most dedicated/insane people around, that kinda kills the entire appeal of them.

Personally, I don't give a crap about my e-dick so I prefer trophy lists that don't result in me hating the game by the time I'm finished.

Edit: Oh wow, the changes to PSNProfiles.com are amazing. I'm not sure if they were there before but removing 0% lists and giving options for your trophy cards (latest trophies, games or platinums) is pretty awesome.

Well known glitch? Just looking at psn profiles and there seems to be hundreds of people who have Platted it after me. and in 25 mins for some of them? Some even 100%. Strange.

Gonna wait for a sale on the dlc and then pick it up. Still have to play lbp1 from when psn went down a year ago lol

edit: Anyone fancy going through Morbid difficulty on dead nation. My brother sold his PS3 as it wasn't for him. We finished it on hard together just need the trophy for morbid and 1 level of undead and im done. I should have the 53000 kill trophy by then easily. Im usually on about 9.30/10 GMT

A sensible trophy set is more important for a big franchise like GOW, giving it insanely harder trophies won't go down well with the majority of gamers who purchase the game. It may be hard for you to understand, but there are persons out there who loves GOW, they dont play often, but will pull their system out and devote the time to PLAT it. It's more important to the franchise that these guys keep coming back, as opposed to the trickling of guys like you, who only want insane trophies for creds.

10000 hrs, 10000 kills etc..., these are just huge time sinks and insane grinds. I hope these guys had fun and they ate properly and had some good rest too.......because if they didn't and the only reason was so others would marvel at their trophy status, then I dont think it was worth it, if they enjoyed these games, good for them. I like to collect trophies, but i really dont do it for others to see my level or anything and declare me a great gamer, at the end of the day who cares.

I devoted time to breaking my balls over MGS2, despite hating it on PS2/X-box. I platinum-ed it on PS3. I don't need to platinum it again.

Now MGS3, on the other hand, I'm willing to redo that.

I might do it again, I dunno. Despite being one of the worst games in the series in my opinion (excluding outsourced crap like Snake's Revenge, Twin Snakes and the mobile games), I've already finished it a crazy amount of times and done everything you can in it like 3 times. If I do it'll probably be a very slow grind over a few months.

MGS3 will be easy though. Even if they'd made it harder I still probably would've gone for it. Just a much better designed game with nowhere near the same amount of repetition.
