PS3
Got VF5 Final Showdown to 10/12 trophies. Liscense modes rough.

X360
Arkham Asylums been the game of choice for my pure craving of Metroid. This games pretty tough. The WP7 game of Battleship is too multiplayer heavy, and its pretty much all I have left to do in it.

Hey guys, remember when I said last month "fuck the MGS2 VR Missions, I'll play Peace Walker instead". Well, after finishing the main game and having worked my way though most of the Ex Ops, I'm realizing S ranking all these missions is going to take longer than expected.

I guess I'll move on to Dragon's Dogma then.

Which missions are you having trouble with? Aim for Infinite Bandana first.

For Vanessa Parry I cheesed the ever living shit out of it
Crouch + K + K + K ad nauseum, if she touched me, P, P, P combo, go back to C +K + K + K

I used Jacky

You only need that for the bosses/tanks. Anything else can be quickly stealthed if you know the enemy placements. Hell, perfect stealth REQUIRES speed and quick aiming/headshots to get through.

So I tried NYMH again tonight and I died in Last Man Standing at the end of Chapter 10. Got a lot of good experience, but man is that section so frustrating.

I guess this will help with all the vehicle battle missions. I'm not having trouble at this point because I'm not particularly trying to S rank anything for now, I'm just trying to finish all the extra ops and develop as much stuff as possible.

And yes, the stealth stuff isn't too hard. It's really the fights I'm "worried" about. Then again, I'll probably coop these.

Finally bought my first Plus subscription.
got virtua fighter. won all 10 online games and never even played a vf game before. Closest i got was Shenmues fighting system., and finished it up in 2 very short 1 hour sittings.
very laughably easy.

CHALLANGES! down plus circle and repeat with Lion i think his name is. no one could touch me online lol. Either everyone just sucks or never blocks.

my first 100% of the month and probably my last as still playing Skyward Sword.
thought id better not have a trophy free month.

Personally I highly recommend playing the game on hard first without going out of your way for trophies. You have to play three playthroughs anyway. You can focus on trophies in your second and third runs (normal and easy).

Besides, the red gem achievement should be done on easy, as they are cheapest to buy on easy, but even on easy it will take a shitload of white gem grinding to buy every red gem (white gems are the currency, use them to buy red gems + other merchandise). And I mean a shitload of boring soulless grinding. I wouldn't want to deal with that in a first playthrough. IMO it's better to just play the game normally on hard, since you have to do three full playthroughs regardless.

Hmm how is Hard mode in SoD? I'm not a big fan of playing shooters on their higher/highest difficulties =_=

Still doing Saints Row The Third, it is actually a really fun game which is why it is probably taking so long, it's like all the fun and cool stuff GTA once did in a nice package.
Will probably be finished soon though, then I'll move onto the PS+ games.

Just bought Prototype 2 and then it becomes free for PSN+ members....

Man :(

No they didn't.

does anyone want to go through.co_opp missions in MW3 or BF3? add me on psn and let me know you are from GAF and want to whore coopp trophies

psn: cornbread78

i usually play after.11pm est tues, fri and sat

Oh well I was only saying that in case you wanted to get all the trophies.

Most of the game isn't very hard on hard difficulty, but there is a huge difficulty spike for the last boss. They might as well call it "Normal mode, except for the last boss."

Started up Damnation. Used a cheat code to unlock the highest difficulty and I'm going to try for a one-playthrough Platinum run. That means co-op on the hardest difficulty using two controllers. Co-op actually makes the game a bit easier, but it gives me quite a headache.

How is that fun!
the games is fuck awful and you're gonna go through the terrible process of playing co op on your own. that sounds like a chore not fun.

i thought games were supposed to be fun not work lol

Im out

Super easy trophies for VF5: Final Showdown. Was expecting to at least have to beat Dural. Not complaining though. Just gonna enjoy the game for now.

Wrapped up DeathSpank.

Started All 4 One. How long does it take to get to 1 million bolts? Jumped into online for a bit and was shocked that the bolts earned quadrupled. (although I didn't get a lot)

Actually, you only play as one player, the second player gets transported on his own when you reach checkpoints. And it helps with the awful checkpoints as you don't need to replay that often.

Hmm any tips to beating the boss on Hard? Hope u don't mind me asking, just want to get enough intel before playing it.

Got all the VF5 trophies. As people have said, it's super easy stuff. Good thing you don't have to win any online matches because I got my ass kicked in every one. :lol

That put me over into level 16. Next I'll probably play JC2, and try to finish Alice Madness Returns collectibles.

Started playing Ace Combat Assault Horizon. I love this series but the 50 hour online trophy is bullshit. Don't think I'm going to even attempt a plat on this.

Started my Crushing run of Uncharted 3. May get an hour or two in tonight won't finish it till next week as this is a busy weekend. Wish all games were this fun to trophy hunt.

Seriously thinking about getting PSN+ soon too. A lot of those free games are fairly easy platinums. Will have to make some room on my PS3's though. I have a 60gb and 80gb model. :)

Edit: FU Crushing lol

just finished shadows of the damned up so thats another 1000g to the list gonna go back and finish up vanquish next

Sorry for the late reply.

Leveling up your blue weapon will help a TON! It makes the ending in Shadows of the Damned a lot more manageable.

Thanks for the tip, will start the game by the end of this week or early next week.
Before that I wanna finish off Trine 2 (got the trophies but need to beat the game) & Sideways NY.

June Progress:
  • Dragon's Dogma- 1000/1000

Finally finished up Dragon's Dogma tonight. Can't recommend this game enough. Easily my GotY so far. Time to stare at my backlog for the rest of the night :).

So I finally got the plat for Hot Shots Vita, Infamous 2 is pretty fun and I see the plat for that is easy so that's the next one. Got to bust out as many games before the 20th when Magic 2013 comes out. (trophies for that look super ez but that's secondary)

Got my platinum trophies in Batman: Arkham City and Resistance: Burning Skies this week. Batman took awhile but I loved every single minute of the game (didn't bother with the other character's challenge levels). Resistance was easy and the game is definitely not as bad as some people have said.

Going to take a couple days break and work on Lollipop Chainsaw when it arrives on Tuesday. Been waiting for LPCS for awhile so it'll be fun (hopefully) to hunt some trophies.

Stayed up till 2 am to get this. Don't think I will be able to sleep now.

nice I don't know if I should try this considering how extremely angry I would be if I'd die like at the last chapter or something like that. There is no way to continue if you fail right?

Got through most of Damnation in one playthrough. I'm missing only one Trophy now to get the platinum. (Shoot 25 Trip Mines out the air) Hope to get it today.

Solidus' second part is kicking my ass. Stupid tentacle loss and then he suddenly has an unbreakable attack.

No trophies for me for a while. I'm playing Everybody's Golf 5 (no trophies) and VF5FS (only 12) non-stop, and I think I'll play VF5 for many months to come. I should finish some platinums, like DMC1 (just missing 2 trophies) or Uncharted 3...

Platinum #68: Damnation. So four platinums, and one PSN game finished this month. So I'm gaining on my backlog.

Most of his attacks can be blocked and he's vulnerable after being blocked. Also, if you're set on fire, quickly switch back and forth to the BDU. It instantly extinguishes the flames.

Congrats man! Probably very tense!

Any tips on difficult spots you encountered?

Those videos you posted earlier of Dropeti are a great resource. The best way to learn a level is to watch a few sections of his play through and then go try to emulate it. I think at a high level the tips you need to use in every level are:

1) Memorize all enemy spawns. Don't let anyone get a drop on you and use cover if it's available. Dropeti is sick player and makes it look too easy sometimes, but don't get careless on the later chapters.

2) Memorize all painkiller locations. Dropeti misses a few here and there in his play through and those can make all the difference if you have time to get them (which you should). Keep your health at least above 75% and if you're hurt and have painkillers then use them manually. Last Man Standing = death.

3) Utilize bullet time efficiently and make sure to strafe left or right while in it to avoid damage. This is paramount in later chapters so practice it in the earlier ones in order to master it. Never ever go into shootdodge except for that one part in Ch 8 (Dropeti covers this in his videos).

4) Use the Beach Max skin for additional luck and swag bonuses (unconfirmed, but it worked for me and Dropeti anyways).

IMO, the hardest chapters in the game are 10, 13, and 14. Here's some tips I used:

Chapter 10 - The hardest part is the last section at the back of the bus. Watch how Dropeti takes out those three vehicles and copy that same pattern. Max out your bullet time, pop it, come out of cover and shoot a vehicle, then go back to cover and disable bullet time. Don't disable it before you go back to cover or you will take a lot of damage that is sometimes fatal. Use the same strategy to take out the remaining guys one at a time after most of the vehicles are destroyed.

Chapter 13 - Don't be a hero and try to use the grenade launcher or LAW (except to kill that vehicle). I had to use the grenade launcher on regular NYM in order to beat this chapter in under a minute, and it's a great strategy because you get so much ammo for it. However, don't even think about it on Hardcore. You will get hit by some enemy, go in to Last Man Standing, and die (true story).

Chapter 14 - Take your time here especially in the beginning. Watch how Dropeti clears out the first section and do exactly that. If you get off on the wrong foot here it can seriously put your play through in jeopardy and make sure to grab every pain killer in the terminal section(s). For the boss, memorize the times when he shoots grenades at you. It's possible for him to shoot only three grenades, but he shot more than that at me and I had to bail out from the cover you start with in the game on the fourth one.

Attafuckingboy!

Haha, damn, congrats!
That's some dedication right there.

Thanks bros.

Correct. It took me about 7-8 times before I completed it successfully so the odds are you will probably rage more than once. Make sure you set aside at least four hours of real time in order to complete this.

Ok so literally started up little big planet 2 yesterday morning from plus.. Did the first few levels. Started it back up last night and I had every trophy. Not that I'm complaining. Might just buy the dlc an 100 % it ready for the vita version. Not long to go on skyward sword then its time to start up dragons dogma. Didn't like the demo at all but heard nothing but good things. My brother raves about it constantly.
