Apparently B2/W2 does have some sequel hooks...

This game is clearly the third game replacement. It's done by the expansion team who did their normal fantastic job. Expect Gen VI to be announced later this year or early next.
 
Maybe this will push them to make a 3DS entry with cel-shaded graphics and Pokemon following you again?

Who am I kidding. This just means Pokemon Black & White 3 for DS next year.

They didn't really have much of a story in Diamond and Pearl to begin with, so with Platinum they were free to do as they pleased and actually add elements of a plot to it. Black and White actually had a significant story to it for the first time, and mixing the two would be fairly pointless when we've already got the sequels here.

Unless they plan its release to coincide with a Gray 2 or something.

Oh, I was talking about Gray 2, shit I forgot to mention that. I've given up on anything B1W1 related, but that's totally wrong of me, we still got another year left if ever they chose to do something similar to Platinum.

Ruby Sapphire remakes have to come first. I'm expecting them announced later this year. I'm looking forward to them.
 
CNet needs to write an article about how this is bad because B2/W2 has only sold 1.619m units while B/W has sold over 14 million units!

In that case it makes it a bit harder, since the sequels assume the events of the previous colored version happened.

It could work admittedly, but the logic for Black City/White Forest, N and his role in the sequel and the cosmetic differences in Unova would be thrown away. And then you lose the whole Yin/Yang aspect which would be silly, since the sequels are already focusing on Kyurem (the Wuji) anyway.

I wouldn't be expecting RSE remakes at this point. First games on 3DS won't be remakes and god help them if they try to do another DS game.

I have a feeling you're going to be disappointed.

And personally, as a huge Pokemon fan, I probably wouldn't even buy R/S remakes if they do make them. I have no real nostalgia for those games.
 
I'm putting everyone on here who speaks ill of any possible R/S/E remake on my ignore list.

I wish I was serious.
 
With what Emerald did to bring some coherence to the plot and turn Hoenn into an actual fun region, I don't really understand the desire to go back to the split version on that one.

when people say RS remakes, they're talking about Emerald, just as HGSS remakes were based on Crystal.

They pulled the focus off Suicune in order to split them again, though. It could work that way if they did it again I guess. I just really liked Emerald as it was.

also wouldn't it be funny if the Actual DS sales (not 3ds sales) bumped way up. lol.
