Well you could be right. Pokemon games are not exactly the most time consuming games to make so maybe they have 3DS iterations ready for next year.

The Game Freak remake team has been working on BW2. You can be assured that the main iterations team has been working on 3DS Pokémon since they got the 3DS dev kits and Black and White were finished up.

No. A few of the legendaries get new formes, but no outright new Pokémon.
The main selling point for these games are that they continue the story of Black and White, greatly expanding the region and throwing loads of new content in there.

This is a great number no matter how it's spun. If sellthrough is high, then it's an outstanding number.

BW2 have laid down the gauntlet now. Challengers will emerge later in the year with NSMB2, Animal Crossing and maybe Mon Hun, but I can easily see BW2 being the biggest titles of the year; incredible for sequels.
I think that this experiment has been enough of a success that sequels rather than third versions will be the norm for the franchise in future.

In fact, it was better in some ways, because it was more concentrated. We knew nothing of the games until 5 months beforehand, and it turned really crazy after that. That summer, where we'd get leaks every other day from anime sketches, or leaked toys, or trailers on obscure Japanese shows, or people making sketches of Victini in the cinema after the Zoroark movie... such an awesome time.
They damn well better. I want gorgeous hi-res sprites, please.

The Bianca 3D model at the start of BW2 where you pick your starter Pokemon looks really good. It still looks like artwork, yet it's entirely 3D. If they went that route I think it could look really nice.
The Pokedex 3D models are really nice too and I wouldn't mind them using them in the next generation, but their art style is probably more suited to a Stadium type game. So I think I'd prefer to go the route they went with Bianca in BW2.

I can't wait for the first analyst article saying Nintendo is stupid for releasing this on their platforms, when they could have sold five times as many copies and made a tiny fraction of the revenue had they put it on iOS for 99cents.

Waiting for the next big mainline game has always been fun to do. And these numbers just seem to back up the infallibly-potent sales punch that Pokemon keeps on giving.
F2P. Buy pokeballs and repels with microtransactions or in-store Pokemmo cards. Scan QR codes at stores/events with your 3DS to get special items like Ultra Balls or TM/HMs. Preorder Metroid 3DS and get an exclusive Pikachu with Surf for Pokemmo. Suddenly, in the news: mass murder of wallets, Iwata prime suspect, investigation still open.

Have you seen the pokedex 3D app? If they were to do that, I imagine it would look fairly close to that.
It has connectivity with Pokemon Dream Radar, an AR game for 3DS where you capture Pokemon in the "real world". Anything you catch there can be brought to Black and White 2 and there's a few exclusive abilities and Formes you can't get without it.

Mind explaining why? It hasn't hurt sales of the games, and retailers are expecting a 3DS bump.
My guess is that a brand-new Pokemon built up for 3DS require some time to make so they simply decided to reuse BW engine to do a quick sequel.
When they get to the 3DS version.When will they bring this back?
Seriously Pokemon 3DS is going to be so good just for all the new features they'll get to use. Pokewalker + C-Gear is basically a proto-streetpass anyway.
