NA Club Nintendo 2012 Elite Status Rewards Announced - Deadline July 31 to redeem

My screen if completely different! It says to choose between Gold or Platinum with a photo of last years buttons for Plat, and a Calendar for Gold.
When I click on "redeem" for the Platinum it only shows the playing cards, while Gold only offers a calendar.
Going to try a different browser and see if things change.
 
Ok, Firefox gave me the screen with the options for everything, while Internet Explorer was only offering the cards or calendar!

Very weird!

This is how I'd rank them (maybe the pins in second because I like the packaging) as well. It would be super rad if they made figures for their other franchises too but it seems NOA likes to keep it Mario related.

Man I forget to register my games for elite status before the deadline. Darn it :( I need to be more on the ball about that. Wish I could get the cards, they seem like a much better gift to me then the pins from last year :P
 
Got the cards. Perfectly happy with them probably because this is my first year doing Club Nintendo.

How long does it usually take these to ship? Surely they can't be serious when they say "before the end of December".
 
Yeah, not terribly thrilled these are the prizes for my first year of Club Nintendo, but at least it's better than nothing. Got the cards.
 
I don't have any problems with the platinum rewards, though they do seem a tad lazy on Nintendo's part. Would have preferred something a bit more "special," but the cards seem nice. I'm happy.

They don't ship/arrive until the Fall most of the time.

They're serious. It's cool though because you've long forgotten about it so it makes for a nice little surprise!
 
I want the poster set if only for the Kid Icarus poster. But i could also get those neat looking cards that i'll never use.

This was my EXACT situation, lol

I got the cards with plans on buying the KI poster (and the Mario pillow) on ebay soon enough. Maybe do that? :/

It'll obviously vary both per year and per person, but from what I remember I got my hat mid October, statue early November and pins early December. So yeah, don't be expecting these for a long while

I was well and ready to bend over backwards for the mario throw pillow since there was like no chance of it ever coming here. But i doubt that i'd do the same for these other prizes that i can actually get right now for free.

i think i'll sleep on it.

Are all of the digital games for the Wii? Or are some for the 3DS?

Edit: My bad, it's on the OT. Too bad Majora's Mask isn't on the 3DS. Would have been perfect.

They should get ALL the downloads. Let's be honest- this is for the people who spent $600 dollars last year. They've most likely bought these games in the past. Give em the goddamn games.
 
Yeah, got the cards. They look nice and will make for a good conversation piece when playing poker. I like the cards much better than the pins last year.
 
I haven't scored Platinum for the last two years. Ain't even mad - nothing will beat that hat (or, no, the coin box that they shipped the statue in, that was a damn fine box).

Went with the Calender again, really enjoying the one I got last year. The Skyward Sword poster would be nice, but I already have three Zelda posters (though I wish I could swap the Twilight Princess one).
 
The cards do look extremely nice, I will admit. They just don't seem like 'Thank you so much for being a loyal and faithful Nintendo fan' prize material. I'm happy with them, but I feel underwhelmed by them too.

I would have gone for the posters if I wanted more than one of them. :/

I spent $260 on 11 games over the course of five years to get this prize haha.

Also I think I must have a card fetish because these cards are far more appealing to me than anything Nintendo's previously offered for NA, including the cheap looking pins, that stupid ass hat, and Peach's nightmare-inducing face on that statuette.

I just think these cards will go so nicely with my Tactics Ogre tarot cards, the Hanafuda cards I plan to get, and the Shin Megami Tensei demon tarot cards of my dreams.

Well, they are really nice cards. Obviously very high quality, and the designs are well-done, even if a little busy.

I think the problem people have is less about how good the cards are but just the fact that they are cards.

I'm the same. I generally have the opposite feelings of most. I felt the mario hat was lame, and the buttons were great due to the amazing packaging.

Posters.

You can actually get some decent looking cheap frames and hang them. They will look awesome. The cards... I wouldn't use them ever and probably wouldn't have the gonads to even open the package because who knows what the ebay market for them will be later.

I already got the cards. :/

I only wanted the Kid Icarus poster out of that set anyways. Hopefully I can find that one poster on ebay for < $30.
 
I have so many posters that I never hang up or display in any fashion. I decided to go with the cards.

I guess I am in the minority that I have liked all the Platinum rewards, even these cards. Now mind, these cards aren't my favorite, but I still think they are cool. :)

It's a glitch that has affected quite a few posters here, along with one saying users redeemed their rewards even though they haven't. It should hopefully be fixed by tomorrow...
 
I'm glad I didn't use all my coins to reach platinum status. These rewards aren't that great. It's gonna be Mario Kart, Metroid II, or the calendar for me.

I think I'm going to get the playing cards. Not that I'll even use them, but they still look fairly unique. The only poster that interests me is the Luigi's Mansion one, and I already have the high-res artwork to get that printed if I ever really wanted to. Already got the 3 Limited Edition Zelda posters, which were beautiful, so those are good enough for me. If they ever get some Metroid posters in stock that would be pretty sick though.
