The worst thing about the last two FF monies was the casting, the only good pick was the Thing (Great make up as well). jessica alba looked like a mess with died hair and colored lenses and is far too young.
I would love to see a superhero movie that's done from the perspective of one of the lower level superheroes that's a part of a big name group.
Green Lantern has a movie.
Green Lantern has a movie.
So what happens when this reboot underperforms or flops? They'll just keep rebooting it over and over until the franchise is so worthless they pay Marvel to take it back?
The idiot at Marvel who made these Fox and Sony deals should be flogged and beaten.
X-Men 1 did focus on just such a fucking shitty character in the teenage'd Rogue. Made for a slow, action light and kinda boring film.
Documentary stylee, Modern Family but with the Fantastic Family, is indeed the best way to do an FF movie. Sue and Reed having a domestic in front of the cameras before awkwardly returning to all smiles, clandestine footage of one of Johnny and Ben's classic prank offs, and some big overarching terrible thing like getting sucked into the Negative Zone, camera crew and all to face off Annhilus or whatever monster/villain. You dont even need to do an origin story then because you can rush through the THEY GOT HIT BY COSMIC RAYS bit in the very intro of the documentary.
So, the Justice League of America tv movie.
These deals were done in the 80s when Marvel was in real danger of going under. They sold damn near everything that wasn't nailed down to keep the lights on.
Fantastic Four needs to be done documentary/reality TV style. They need to start trying new shit with some of the 2nd tier super hero franchises instead of the shitty paint by numbers stuff we get.
Nah ... cast Taissa for the controversyJust cast Vera Faminga as Sue and we can have Clooney finally get flexible with her again on the towel rack.
They should just have Galactus come and destroy everything. And not get Laurence Fishburne to do the voice for the Surfer.
they're doing this because Disney bought Marvel. before that Marvel sold some licenses to Fox and Sony. if the licenses aren't used within a certain time frame they will expire and go back to Marvel/Disney. Which Disney wants all the licenses back.
that's why we're getting so many reboots and sequels for Ghost Rider, FF, Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men and Wolverine. these are the ones Sony and Fox have.

Great Superhero Movies = Give me more of it!
People complaining here = don't watch it and see a diferent movie then.
Problem solved for you!
For the love of god don't be another origin story.
Should play into the FF strength's then just trying to make a standard super hero movie. Pretty much make it lost in space with super heroes.
REALLY disappointed in reading that the new Daredevil movie is based off Born Again. That story arc was way too gritty for my tastes and I didn't like what it did to Karen Page.

Yea, I wouldn't mind seeing a well done FF origin this time. Not even the cartoons did it well. Gotta beat the commies to space!I don't know. We have yet to get a decent F4 origin film and I for one would like to see it. It's a very cool story that just hasn't been properly realized for the big screen. Thor and Cap, both of which suffer from quite a few issues, still manage to tell competent stories. What about Marvel's first family?
We're falling off the cliff. There's no fucking stopping this industry now from making us watch the same shit again and again. And we're still paying for it.
A never-ending hell of shitty recycled Marvel comic book movies.
Truly Armageddon has begun!
Did anyone really like the other Fantastic Four movies?
I echo all the other people who say stop the rebooting. At this point everyone knows the origin of the Fantastic Four/Spider-Man/Superman/Batman/Iron Man/Thor/Captain America/etc. Just make all the franchises into James Bond style movies. Plenty of great comic stories for each character to go around.
It's inevitable and kind of has to be done with a reboot. It confuses the mainstream viewing audience if you don't and they can't tell if it's a sequel or not.
And where the hell did you get a crazy idea like that? We're rebooting franchises after a few years left right and centre. Iron Man 3 will actually be a reboot. Avengers 2will be a reboot. Next X-Men will be a reboot. This post will be a reboot
I hope they get it right this time, but man it sucks that X-Men/Spider-Man/Daredevil/F4 aren't under the same umbrella as Iron Man/Hulk/Thor/Captain America/Avengers. Having them in the same uni would be epic.
20th Century Fox is looking to get moving on their Fantastic Four reboot. We knew the reboot was coming, as Fox is in danger of losing the property if they don’t produce a Fantastic Four film every few years.
