Great demo, but I really suck at it.. from the little I played this morning it came off as rather difficult as the zombies are good at swarming you if you don't pay attention and if you're surrounded prepare to get slaughtered.

The amount of unique things to do is huge, I can't imagine the horror the game testers went through.

Is anyone else just really suprised by how good the graphics look? Everything is so polished.

That was the first thing that impressed me. There's no reason one would expect a game this teeming with zombies to look this good.

As I mentioned to someone before, when you go to the sports store, look at the texture of the wood on the floor. Its crazy detailed.

Great. GREAT. You guys have convinced me to get a 360, and now I'm going to be flat-out broke this holiday.

No, it's not some clerk. It comes from EB representatives. This is what eb games is telling people who preordered the game; they received confirmation from Eb usa that the game works on PAL X360's, it's multilanguage and it will be available before the end of next week.

Tempting... Guess I'll be mailing Capcom again this week

EXACTLY DUDE

The sheer amount of polish this game undertook is exciting - it really impresses when you run around the corner and BAM there's like 100 zombies lumbering around, and the ones closest to you have caught your scent.

Capcom knows zombies.

There seems to be 3 ways to "end" the demo.

/////SPOILERS

1) Entering the cinema and seeing a crazed man crucifying a mannequin
2.) Entering the warehouse room where you squash a bee, and the zombies get "squashed" the same way
3.) Entering the entrance of the mall where a father and his 2 boys are head hunting.

Each ending leaves you wanting more! This demo is like the the perfect teaser trailer.

Great demo, but hard to make any of the text out in SD.

Yeah, that bothered me too. It seems like 360 games are starting to disregard SD gamers. I can't read anything wether it be in the crawler or insturctions.

I think I have acute zombieitis!

Girls can just say they have menstrual cramps. I'm jealous.

sounds like you just have a crappy SDTV. I can read it fine on mine. I think I am going to put the 360 on the projector this weekend for some lifesize zombie slaying :D

i think Capcom just wants to turn importers off, i don't think they'll ever tell you "go on, you can import, it works fine !" since they've never supported importing.
i'm not going to preorder myself yet, but it's just a few days till we get some hands on confirmation.

Nope. The typical Japanese polish shines through. As more and more Eastern games show up, the polish that has been absent in so many 360 titles should start to crawl back. :p You may laugh, but look at the JP release we've had so far. In general, you've got higher framerates, more polish, and greater attention to detail. They haven't proven to be as capable when it comes to utilizing every little GPU feature, but the extra layer of quality and polish goes a LONG way.

I can't wait to see how this and Lost Planet do at retail. I'd like to see just how much of a difference the marketplace can make. These demos have demonstrated just how amazing the two games are and may have given them more attention than they would have otherwise received.

Yeah well they could've just said 'no comment' or whatever, they said 'it's region locked' without even being vague about it.

That's why capcom is great, they use a mix of western and easter techniques to acheive a damn nice looking game.

I love this game. Funniest thing so far for me was watching zombies try to walk down stairs. I wouldn't be surprized to find a big pile of zombies at the bottom of all stair cases.

Did this really get 7.0'd in EGM? if so, that's a god damned travesty.

If this game cant save beatem ups nothing can. It seems polished and plays really well. I like the whole concept, with the picture taking, the mission setups, the survival aspect, everything being a weapon, ect. The demo did not dissapoint, hopefully the full game lives up to my expectations.

okay so... can we all agreed that Capcom is the Devourer of Souls and a supreme being capable of creating XBL demos crafted from pure, solid gold?

I find this a perfectly reasonable assesment.

regarding people saying "it's fun but too repetitive/shallow, you're just killing zombies over and over", when you get right down to it, aren't most games like that? take RE4, 90% of the game was just killing wave after wave of Ganado. How many GOTYs did it net? and compared to Dead Rising there was practically zero difference between its weapons. it was always a single shot weapon of varying power+accuracy with you just standing still and tapping A. hardly compares to choosing to whack golf balls or run them over with a shopping cart or do a wrestling move.
