Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.

Kinda weird looking! Can't tell if thats white or very subdued gold. Extremis armour did require a bit of a different look though, if thats what this is. Seems a bit like Steve Job's iRON MAN.

Aside from suitcase armor, this is the first armor with any major visual difference since the Mark III.

And it kinda sucks.

Looks almost like they just exchanged the colors. Red is now where gold was and vice versa :/

Edit: well okay, the back is entirely different and.... most of the other stuff.... but you still get the idea.

Having mixed feelings, definitely needs more red. There has to be something else better than what they've got instead of this armor.

That was the Silver Centurion armor though, something that had already been featured in the books. I'm not familiar with recent Iron Man stuff but I don't know what this abomination is. It looks even worse than the armor he had in the first Avengers promotional art. There's simply not enough red.

The colors are what's throwing it off. I think its a great new design, but the color choices are sort of ruining it.

Yeah. I much prefer more red on the armor with gold highlights.

Also if you compare the other predecessor armor with red & gold, this newer versions gold isn't the same but more... lighter? kinda vanilla-ish, but don't quote me on that.

It looks like some kind of retractable suit, akin of the suitcase suit, but not as portable, maybe?

Also, can someone try to flip the colors, see what comes out of it?

I'm sure it will look better in the film but for now it reminds me of one of those human body models with all of the muscles exposed.

Yeah, not enough red on the suit. That's unfortunate.

I have this feeling that the armor we're looking at here isn't intentionally designed by Stark. It's so far away from the general aesthetic of his previous suit, this one looks almost like an alteration or an accident. Maybe an... "infected" suit in some way?

Is it just me, or does the suit look a bit more organic to other people as well?

The central piece, for example, looks quite a bit like a set of abdominal muscles (as opposed to the previous suits' designs), which might be something the designers were going for if the film follows the
Extremis
storyline as rumours have suggested. Maybe it only seems that way because of the colouring, when in fact the basic shapes are much the same.

You mean like the Iron Patriot?

"Tell you what, throw a little hotrod red in there"

The basic design of the suit in the movies is still awesome, but that color and finish? I'm skeptical but it will probably turn out alright.

If this film follows the Extremis storyline, it's already the best movie of whatever year it comes out.

Looks like they're going for the 'Bleeding Edge Armor' from Invincible Iron Man comics, but yeah, needs more read:

And yes, it's supposed to look more organic, cause like the Extremis Armor, it's basically built straight into his biology now.
