I don't think it's stupid. They have a panel later today, so they'll probably talk about it. Right now it's just an attempt to get eyeballs. When the movie is so far away, whether opinions are positive or negative, as long as they get people noticing and talking about it, it's paying off.

What time is the panel today?

Iron Man is a Seminoles fan. :)

You mean the suitcase armor? That's Mark V, right? Yeah, I got the purpose of that. It's a portable version of the armor in case he never needs to change but doesn't have a building of his real armor around.

What I don't get is all the other upgrades. Mark IV is just a different shade of color, Mark VI just has a Triangle shaped chest piece plus some silver, and Mark VII is back to circle and...kind of larger than usual, I guess?

I just don't see what new toys stark keeps adding that make it necessary to completely remake the suit.

MKVII had a laser that could be fired more than once

Blade 3
X-men 3
Spider-man 3

Third time is not the charm with comic book movies, and things aren't looking so good for Iron Man.

Oh right, forgot about that. I hope they shed some light on it though, it's too ugly to ignore. Though to be honest, I was hoping for something more drastic than a simple color change. Along the lines of

Looking forward to the talk either way. I wonder if we'll actually ever see something like this on screen, though;

What? He's genetically modified to grow his suit? That's fucking stupid. Iron man is like batman - a human with money and tech. If he starts growing stuff out of his body then he's more a mutant/classic superhero. Plus why would his skin be armour plated and enable him to fly?

Ugh

You've never actually read an issue of Iron Man, have you?

Stark is more Howard Hughes with a robot suit than Batman. And even though both use tech, Stark is nothing without them, whereas Batman has a pretty decent fighting ability without having to break out the explosive batarangs or Tumbler. And having an organic biosuit is no more stupid than carrying around a fucking red titanium briefcase that screams SOMETHING IMPORTANT IS IN HERE, STEAL ME AND DISCOVER MY SECRET PLEASE

The original Extremis infection only allowed him to store the yellow undersuit in his bones

The actual armor he could control 'telepathically' with it through use of micro repulsors

Also I hope it has the best line from the Extremis arc

Basically Extremis makes him Adam Jensen with a few more comic things thrown in

Maya, I can see through satellites now

Looks like iron man put on some weight. If its the Etremis armor shouldn't it be more contoured to his body?

Ironman is not like Batman, Tony actually knows how to build his own shit. And he is always building the next great thing, it is a logical extension he would eventually make his armor and himself one and the same. Hell he even states it in the second movie.

Batman created and designed Brother eye. :b

My guess is the new suit design indicates Iron Man will go in space. That's why it seems to have no slight opening, and the pale color might work better in space than red.

Current Iron Man armor in comics.

Not Tony though.

This on the other hand, the upcoming comics armor, is badass:

Should've went with this.

The movie armor looks bad, because it looks like it lacks lustre. Perhaps in the film it'll be a bright gold but even then it looks kind of blah. That's probably going to be an early version of the armor that is made with the help of Maya.

Hah, I used the Inferno armor simply because it looked like Iron Man. It was totally wrong for my class but I didn't care.
Same.

Mega XLR?

EDIT: Wait, ANTI-GALACTUS SUIT!? WTF!

Yeah was originally designed to fight Galactus but it got repurposed to fight another giant robot. When someone builds an "anti" anything it is doom to failure. Or make things worse like the Phoenix Buster.

Yea. Not a fan of that. It really looks like total shit. I had no worries about this movie till now. I loved the first two and Iron Man being one of my top two favs I'd had to see the series go down the crapper.

One of the biggest things to turn me off the idea of seriously getting into comics is how utterly meaningless power levels are. Oh you're going to go fight the cosmic incarnation of destruction? Then I'm sure your one hundred foot tall robot suit will make a serious difference

Built by Reed Richards.
