Heh, according to the Mirror, Newcastle ARE willing to meet the supposed 17m price tag on Carroll. Ugh I hope not. I know it's still a lovely profit we made off of him if it does go ahead but something about breaking our purchase record for a player who we sold to break the overall British player record is poetic. Wrong but poetic.

Don't you get a percentage of the sell-on fee? Wouldn't that mean you would get some off the price?

Michael Bradley shopping for Roma gear. Great deal for Roma at 3.5m. Tremendous old school DM. Maybe the new American ownership influenced the deal to increase the brand in North America, but I'd take him for Juve any day of the week.

Didn't this guy play for Villa for a while?

What, Newcastle sold him for £35m and managed to bag a % of the sell on fee? Man, this is a deal better than when I sold Beckham to Barca for £89m in Championship Manager 01/02.

FWIW Newcastle would be silly to spend £17m on him. They'd have still made a handsome profit on him but it would be just as stupid as when Kenny said that Liverpool has signed Carroll for "minus £15m".

Why are Liverpool even looking to sell Carroll. He's looked sharpish lately, may aswell stick by him and give him another go. If they did get a £15m bid or so it probs would be best to let him go though I suppose, it's unlikely he will ever figure prominently in Rodgers' plans.

All they have to do now is sign Destro and they're set. Dat Zeman magic!

The main thinking behind us wanting to sell him is that he just doesn't fit into Rodgers' system and the way he wants us to play. Of course nobody knows for sure that Rodgers doesn't think Carroll will fit with his play style, but that's the only reason I could see that we could be considering getting rid of him now.

Anyone gotten anything from the Steam sale?
Far too much:

American Nightmare
Alan Wake Collectors DLC
QUBE
Tropico 4 & DLC
The Walking Dead
Sam & Max complete pack
The Darkness II
Frozen Synapse Red DLC
Sonic Generations Casino DLC
Borderlands Claptrap DLC
Tribes Ascend Starter Pack
Binary Domain

Edit: Oops, double post.

Waiting for Bastion and hopefully F1 2011 to go on sale.

Thanks everyone for their votes! RT @GlancingOnHuman: Thanks, Steam people! Bastion won the vote and will be 75% off soon!

SuperGiant Games on Twitter. They developed Bastion.

You got your wish.

Does Rodriguez play for Real then? Commentator was talking about one of the strikers making his debut for Real last season, for some reason I assigned that to Deulofeu.

Yes, Rodriguez - also known as Jese - played about 10 minutes last season, but he is more of a winger than a striker.
Though Morata is a striker and scored the most goals during last year's under-19 championship, but I don't think he was playing this tournament. He has been promoted to the first team for this next season, so we will see how well he does in the Copa del Rey.

I have Bastion on my Mac. It's wonderful.

in the spoiler tags is a snippet of the narration. It doesn't contain a story spoiler but I would highlight it if you want to discover everything yourself.

I smiled when I heard this.

"Kid raged around for a while"

does it run well on OSX native? or do you use bootcamp?

This Andy Carroll to Newcastle transfer talk is the funniest shit I have read in a long time!

We completely mugged them on the initial transfer and are set to mug them again if we get him back.

Just goes to confirm that I was right when I said Kenny is the worst transfer market operator in the history of the Premier League.

I will call it now that if we buy Carroll back permanently, it will be for less than £15 million AND he will take a pay cut.

He'll score a hat-trick in every game too.

The sell-on fee takes effect if we sell him for the same, or more than we bought him for. Don't see that happening any time soon :P

Just finished season 3 of Breaking Bad. Holy shit.

This talk of us being 'mugged' once again is nonsense. If the sale of Andy Carroll gets us the funds to astutely obtain a top striker who's capable of fitting into Rodgers' high tempo, fluid system then so be it.

Contrary to popular beliefs, us Liverpool fans don't go to bed crying about finance sheets and lost revenue. We care about football results (thus we've had a pretty sour time this last year). If we get more positive results with a better suited striker than Andy Carroll then we'll feel the opposite of mugged, we'll be laughing.

Carroll finally finding his feet at Liverpool and we're gonna offload him now? I doubt it.

He's featured so heavily in the USA tour promotional material. Think he'll stay with us.

Kind of want him to go though. I want the money so we can sign some players who will have a bigger effect.

Commentator talks about how few players could, or would, and then cuts to Zola.

<3 Gianfranco. Boss, boss player.

Quoting this just because. My favourite ever player. I really wish he had been part of a title-winning Chelsea team, the man deserved it.

Seriously, about four of my Chelsea shirts have his name on the back, three of them came after he retired. Got a signed painting on my wall as well.

*bows*

...I'll stop fanboying now.

Watching Dynamo: Magician Impossible. I can't get my head around the things he does. They literally astound me. I'm just in awe. If anyone hasn't seen it hit up YouTube now, it's unbelievable.

Nah, fuck that, his card tricks are impressive but half the shit he does is fake/fabricated. Some stuff like levitating with one hand on a bench is just not possible.

My mate said he saw him supporting Ian Brown in Manchester a few years back and he got booed off for his shit tricks.

He's turning Coke into Fanta and generating popcorn with his bare hands. Fuck the naysayers.
