Tom fucking Huddlestone?

lol

He's pretty good in FM:

Some of the abilities & potential are pretty messed up though.

I need to get off of that crap pipe. I spend way too much time with that game.

Its 2015 in my FM save as Bilbao. I've just had a look at the United squad and they've signed Kwadwo Asamoah and and Marek Hamsik.

Even FM knows where Uniteds vulnerabilities lie.

If only I had a laptop to play FM on. It feels weird having to stay in one room to play FM.

Oh god, can you imagine that. Flog him for uber cheap, he goes on to play class, and Rodgers gets sacked.

If we reinvest the money from him into a better young striker like Sturridge I wouldn't mind though.

Well it could break the other way. You get a cheeky ten mil for him and his form plummets.

Anyway, do you believe Liverpool should be playing rodgers style or not? I would imagine the answer is "yes" assuming you want to win things. Tactics have changed dramatically over the past few years teams who dont give a toss about possession are going to make life much harder for themselves. I think Liverpool fans should count themselves very lucky their new owners recognised this tactical revolution and went for the biggest advocate of that style in the PL as their new manager.

But some players are just not built for that style. Carroll is one of them.

The answer to the bolded is: fuck yes.

Look at the Premier League now, specifically the top half. It's getting increasingly congested year on year, and you're seeing teams who aren't even getting into the top four spending huge sums of money in order to do so. We've got money to spend, but I think it's clear to our owners that more important than simply piling money in is developing and incubating a specific style of football, and, more importantly, a winning style.

Rodgers is a fantastic coach, first and foremost. Players want to play for him, fans want to support him, and the media want him to do well. He's got a style of football that's admirable, intelligent, and endorsed by some of the brightest coaches on the planet. It's a style that elevates the group beyond what their raw talent dictates, see: Swansea.

If Rodgers can build a team that's capable of adapting that style with more firepower, technique, and overall quality then we'll challenge for the top four. It's also a style that fans want to see, it's about pressing, passing and moving. It's as close to Rafa's style of play as we've had since he left, and I think that'll be an immediate buzz for crowds next season.

I was thinking of getting it but I read that they've removed some options that are in the full game. I'll also have no life if I started playing FM Handheld.

Right before my Laptop died, Tottenham bought Cavani for £35m and Suarez went to Chelsea for £15m. It was a knockdown price because Liverpool finished 16th and Suarez had refused to sign a new contract. I lol'd.

Al Jazeera reporting that Cristiano Ronaldo has said he will not extend his Real Madrid contract which expires in 2015.

So, let's just pretend for a second this is true...

THAT'S WHAT WE'RE SAVING UP FOR! Ronaldo is coming home.

Ronaldo and Messi at Barca!

Totally agree. Rodgers was my first choice for Villa. Lambert is a fine second though. My hope is he really leans into possession play as well. So far all the layers are saying this is what he is focusing on and in our first friendly (OK it was against Burton) we completely dominated possession in the second half, like they hardly got six kicks of the ball.

This is in marked contrast to McLiesh who even when playing Walsall was insistent we go direct all the time (ie: give the ball away).

I am a happy(ish) camper so far.

If you're playing badly, you have to at least try and make up for your mistakes. Delafeaueoueia keeps running into the defender and then standing there looking at his feet while they waltz down the pitch

Oh god I go on holiday tomorrow. No transfer muppetry for 11 days, I don't know if that's good or bad.

I'm not getting a holiday for the second summer in a row, can't afford it. On the plus side my dad's offered me £200 to housesit his house for two weeks and feed the cats. I get £200 to sit on my arse in his expansive garden refreshing twitter on an iPad. Transfer muppetry, some sun(hopefully), and some cash.

That's not too bad, I missed out on the madness last year so this year I'm going a bit crazy (Ibiza).

I'm more excited to get in the fucking sun for once more than anything at this point haha.

yes plz. Theo + RVP fees should be enough to rebuild the spine of this team. No need for any star players, just quality first team players + depth throughout squad.

edit: and just out of morbid curiosity, I compared Theo's stats to Bale's from last season. Bale's scored 9, assisted 10. Walcott's scored 8, assisted 11. 40m please!

He'll go for 10m tops. Oh well.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL Spain Euro U19 Champions hahahahahah. Domination!

So proud of Greece though, far more interesting to watch than the national team from the Euro2012 tournament.

Feed the yak Fady, feed the Yak!

Anyone know much about Adrian Silva? Rovers are trying for him

When does the first championship game occur bro?

I wish our new manager would sort his fucking throat out. Take a Strepsil or something please.

I always felt that too. When he first joined Chelsea though his voice was fine. I feel like all he has to do is *attempt* to clear his throat, at least! Hahaha.

Actually, he's going to renew his contract due to the new taxes that have been approved in Spain.

That was quick:

Liverpool have rejected Newcastle's bid to sign striker Andy Carroll on loan, with a view to a permanent move.

It is understood the approach falls way short of Liverpool's demands.

The Reds are reluctant to allow Carroll to leave on a temporary basis, despite manager Brendan Rodgers's admission that a loan move is an option.

Sources close to 23-year-old England striker Carroll maintain his preferred option is to remain at Anfield to try to prove himself to Rodgers.

If he does not fit into Rodgers's plans, with no club willing to offer Liverpool a significant portion of the £35m transfer fee they paid Newcastle United for Carroll in January 2011, the Reds may be forced into reluctantly settling for a short-term deal.

They may also have to cover the forward's £80,000 per week salary and agree a fee for any sale.

I'm sure I'd read Carroll was on less than £80,000 a week.

We were so fucking good that season. Makes me want to cry.
Haha, Yeah ones of the best seasons I've seen. City signed Robinho and United spent 30m on Berbatov. CL was great too with Iniestas last minute goal against Chelsea. Even Darron Gibson scored on the last day lol.

Shame it was Ronaldo's last season at United, Tevez's too :(

Newcastle were relegated :p
And there was the Benitez FACTS!! tantrum

Watching PL years 08/09.

Torres was unbelieveable that season and Arshavin looked world class in the 4-4 at Anfield.
I remember streaming that 4-4 game in a dingy Internet cafe in downtown Cairo while a grossly overweight man watched rape porn next to me. Memories.
