I hope this turns out to be true. Having to buy the XL up front to do the data transfer is pretty off-putting to me.

anybody know the 3DS trade in credit towards a 3DS XL percent at gamestop. Isnt it always like 30% plus power up reward member another 10% so 40%? so isnt that a whole of like 105 somethin dollars..? Might do this if transfer is available in store...even though I love my aqua blue I need that bigger screen.
Switched my pre-order to a blue one...
I gave in and preordered a Japanese White 3DS LL from amazon japan. I haven't been able to try it out at any of my local stores in Japan, but I figure if I don't like it I could always sell it and keep my original white 3DS, so I don't have much to lose.

Yeah, Silver should be the first new color they release after launch I bet. Baffling that it isn't there at launch, really...
I just want White or some color I don't expect, but if OG 3DS was any indication, White may never come.

The all-white and Gamecube-purple models make it impossible for me to buy the XL now.
I will have to wait till either of them are released in Europe. Not that blue, red, or silver are bad, but those two are something else entirely. If they aren't released I cannot buy the XL either, because I will still be waiting patiently. In vain.

Are the purple and transparent real models that will be at retail? Will the blue come out in Eu too?
I think the purple is a mock-up, the transparent one is a pic from "Iwata asks: 3DSXL".
Whether something similar will ever be sold is anyone's guess.
As far as I know. I'd be very happy to be corrected.
