You telling me you wouldn't look at Batman striking a pose?

A couple of them turned around.

Just got back....I loved it. Definitely a great ending to the trilogy. I'm not sure if it stands with TDK, but its certainly up there. Most moving film of the bunch too, easily.

Yeah, but pretty much all of them can be explained if you actually watch the movie.

I see the word plot hole thrown around so many times, I thought I might have missed all these plot holes when I watched it.

I'm sure the movie has plot holes, but a whole lot of them are people switching their brains off halfway through the movie and getting annoyed that characters aren't explaining every tiny thing.

Saw the movie last weekend and while it is not as good as the first movies it was still a good movie and probably the best 3rd movie in a trilogy that I have seen. Most 3rd movies are horrible, but I liked Rises.

My main complaint was the horrible sound quality, but maybe that was my theater.

Bane's superpower was having a voice that was loud enough to break the sound barrier.

is there a list around of all these plot holes the movie has?

this movie has 0,0000000000000000000001 plot holes than TDK has... I mean, really, this is the first fucking Nolan movie where I can actually tell other people the plot without having that "uh, wait, what" look.

First is Icant fucking hear a word, now its is so loud I am going deaf... godfuckingdamnit!

TDK was a better film IMO, but DKR was better than I expected so I didn't leave disappointed. I get the feeling as time goes on I will like the film less, but by no means was it bad.

Can someone remind me where the track that plays around 1:47 and beyond in this video is trailer-wise? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1T__uN5xmC0

Another awesome track that isn't on the soundtrack from what I recall. Would love a full-length version of whatever it is. :(

Oh yeah, trailer 4, that's it. Someone remade/extended it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn5cgAbBNPs Not the best quality cos apparently it was a bitch to do. Hate it when you hear something fantastic for a film's promotion but it never features on said film's soundtrack. :(

It really was.

The one liners did hurt to listen to, especially the second time around, and I silently cursed Nolan for not editing some of them out, but it's going to take a lot more than that, A LOT MORE than that to ruin the great performances we got from Bane, and Alfred, Bruce, and Selina.

I actually thought DKR had less cheesy one-liners than BB and TDK. The only lines that get to me are the corny comments from cops and bystanders during action scenes, which I didn't notice as many.

I'm not sure yet, but I think DKR is going to be my favorite of the trilogy. It's the most consistent of the three imo, and easily has the best final action scenes/setpieces and ending. Bane has his moments that even rival Joker's, and I love the physical challenge that he was for Batman. DKR was filled with emotion.

This movie was fucking awesome, it met, nai exceeded my expectations, loved it, what a great way to finish a trilogy, goddamm. My personal rank would be:

Rises>Begins>TDK

Without any spoilers for anyone who thinks that Dark Knight was much better than Batman begins, how good is the Dark Knight Rises? I am going to see it today or tommorow.

Good, but not better than The Dark Knight. Its stature compared to Batman Begins is debatable.

I was always in the TDK > BB group, I'd say TDKR >= TDK > BB.
Right now I have it the same, and I still love Begins. BB just left a bit to be desired in its action scenes, the monorail section at the end in particular just wasn't very good. And as good as Ra's and Scarecrow were, they don't carry the film like Joker and Bane do.

I believe the trilogy improved with each entry. Some of the cinematography in DKR is really something else.

Just saw it. Didn't like
the twist at all.
Loved Bane. I didn't mind the ending or cat woman. I also don't understand why
Christian Bale did his batman voice after Bane found out who he was.
I thought that was hilarious.

I havent seen batman begins but my ratings would go like:

TDK Joker scenes> TDKR> rest of TDK

The twist works if you're already familiar with the Talia character. If not, I can see why someone wouldn't feel it.

Anyway, it makes perfect sense that Bruce always does the voice when in the suit. It just comes natural to mask his voice regardless of the situation... It would actually be more awkward if he's switching back and forth between different company -- "where are they?" Oh shit, people around... "WHERE ARE THEY?!"

Completely agreed on both points. With the voice though I feel like once the suit is on, it's all one persona. He can't use Bruce with the suit on, Bruce is gone at that point.

What was hilarious is
when he does it after Catwoman disappears on him.
No one is around to even hear it.

The cartoons had this as well, often even when Bruce doesn't even have his suit on. As long as he has the suit on, he does his Batman voice even if no one is around. Kevin Conroy did this as well when he was doing TAS, even when Bruce was out of costume and just working in his cave. Just think of it as his "I'm working" voice. Also, he probably does it so that he always remembers to do it, so that he never accidentally slips when he's in a situation where he has to fake it.

It's a shame that Bale sucks at disguising his voice, otherwise no one would be bothered by it.
