Yoshi--what are your overall impressions of it so far? It's been awhile since my last playthrough of the game, so might just pick it up anyways.

I'm based, but I'm loving this version so far. FFVII's never looked this good imo, some songs are really good (and some are not, unfortunately). The character portrait and the "HD" text is smooth as heck, I love it.

Some people say that FF VII has pretty bad graphics today, but for me there is charming simplicity to FF VII's character models. I love the simplistic polygons (like Tobal) without any textures. It looks like this version makes them look the crispest.

I remember reading a PC Gamer review of the PC version way back in 98 or whenever, and things like "This guy are sick" had been changed back then. I'm guessing it's that script.

After all, if they were tweaking it now, wouldnt the name be Aerith?

When I tried to sign in I got an "invalid email or password" error. The solution to this is to click the SE North America button on the left and then sign in. Hope this helps someone else.

Early to tell, but on the Qhimm Forums (where all the FF7 mods are born) they tested changing some letters in the menu and the DRM did not deny them.

I bet we'll see PSX versions of the OGGs sometime soon.

Rush? lol, sorry. Getting Finishing Touch before fighting Guard Scorpion is something I did 1997, not 2012. I'll get them all, like I do everytime I replay this game. The real question is, battery key-item or Ether? Ugh, ocd.

also, most of those mods are fucking stupid. the game looks so awkward on pc with all those goofy graphics mods

just play the original
