Between Pokemon and Final Fantasy I got so much reading practice when I was a kid.

No voice acting is better, it means I can get through the dialog faster because I am a fast reader.

Oh fuck yes. He had one of the best build up of a villian in games ever in the history of ever, ever.

You know what? I wish I could give myself amnesia and play the game again. It was (technically) my first RPG and the point where you first got out of Midgar and realised that the game isn't even a quarter done left me with my mouth hanging open.

In retrospect, I should have realised this considering that I haven't even put in Disc 2. :P

Yes, the launcher gets up to 10% before running into "You Need a Working Internet Connection to connect to FINAL FANTASY VII". I assume it's just because the SE servers are getting hammered on day 1, should probably be fine in a few hours.
 
I feel old watching that stream. I got the PSOne version for my 13th birthday. Even though I haven't played the game since then, I was still able to tell there was something off about the music. Weird.

Ya after restarting it like 10 times I got it to work. Also got my login issues to work by logging in via Square NA account button. I guess its my fault for thinking SE would already know that in the main login menu -.-

I remember that feeling, except it wasn't my first RPG and I was aware I hadn't put in disc 2. Too bad the other discs weren't as long, but still!
 
And now, we now come to the point where I said "Oh fuck, I'm not dealing with just another game here". This is literally the best point of FFVII.

I bought the game on my phone at work.

How can I now download it now that I'm at home.

I looked in my SE profile and see nothing to the effect of allowing me to d/l it?

That sounds about when I got mine too. I was dying to play it since I saw a copy with the Brady's guide at my babysitter's house (her brother's copy) and I played the hell out of it when I got it for my birthday. I had some weird FFVII/FFVIII combo guide that only covered the first disc I think. Over 100 hours into it but never finished. I think I only have Emerald, Ruby, and the final showdown left. I've done everything else though aside from missing one enemy move for the master yellow materia.

Wooh, nostalgia. I may have to play again when I figure out if I want to start a new file or finish my old one.
 
Just started downloading and hope to play some. I will probably do the cheat stuff because I just played through the whole game a few months ago. I am pretty damn excited. OMG at them changing "this guy are sick" though!
 
I just realized that with the cheat option I can play through this game in a day maybe. That would be kinda fun, because I am scared at some of the optional stuff to get lost with in the game because of the time needed. ie: chocobo's, minigames, gold saucer, way too much find.
 
I can honestly say that no flash back in video game history is this memorable and awesome. Just, wow.

Might as well not even play the game and just the cutscenes and a let's play on Youtube.

On a storytelling level in games that entire flashback scene was unlike anything I had seen before. I remember having a save specifically at that location that I would watch every once and a while to catch up on it. Because it was rather complicated.

lol I just played through the entire game a month or two ago...and did 95% of the optional stuff. I think I deserve a break. It's also my twelfth time through the game since the original Japanese PS1 release so I kinda know it by heart anyway. To superpower through it would be a joy.
