It's not really a new color. It's just new face plates attached to the white LL. This should give us hope that it's easy to create the custom front/back plates. I'd love something Metroid-inspired, but black on the inside bordering the screen to make images pop.

Target and Best Buy ads are out for this coming week. Target is offering nothing for buying a 3DS or 3DS XL, nor are they offering any deals on games. Booooooooo.
Best Buy is offering nothing on games, but is throwing in a DS universal case when you buy a 3DS or 3DS XL. Pretty shitty if you ask me. If you have a Kmart nearby, they're offering 20 dollars off your next purchase when you buy an XL. That appears to be as good as its going to get unless Walkmart does something.

I want to know this as well. I can't wait to play Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest's, Radiant Historia, etc...
The Dragon Quest IV-VI remakes particularly anger me on the OG 3DS because the text is unusually hard on the eyes. It makes me literally not want to play the games.

The XL can't do anything to make DS games look better when stretched. So as bad as you think they look on the 3DS, is how bad they'll look on the XL. Only bigger. Where you'll see an improvement is in 1:1 mode. 1:1 on the OG looks like a postage stamp. On the XL 1:1 is the size of DSi screens. Huge improvement there.

I do this with every Mario Kart.
A new one comes out, I buy it, play it for a while and then shelve it after the cheating bastard bullshit AI frustrates me too much. Then I start the cycle all over again when the next one comes out.
I think I just don't like Mario Kart.

I thought Mario Kart 7 was very easy. I got a full clear on it, all of the unlocks I believe. I say this as a person who cannot beat the first race in Wipeout HD. I am normally terrible at racing games but the Mario Kart games are pretty easy to build up to and also correct mistakes with items. Probably why it's the only racing game series I consistently like :lol

New super mario bros 2 is the first retail game to go digital. Paper mario and code of princess are also titles coming to the digital download market (with the latter being digital exclusive).
However, at this point 32gb for the 3ds seems like overkill. 8gb sounds like a decent size for what's to come.
S. It would nice to have the extra track selection beyond MK:7.I'm not sure about that. They've changed the XL's release date to the 18th on the preorder page. Mario still says it releases on the 19th. Looks to me like we'll get the XL a day before Mario, kind of a bummer.

Depends on what you're talking about.
GB games tend to be around the 33 blocks range, or about 4mb.
An eshop game (DSI or 3DS) can range anywhere up to 1600 (highes i've seen it) or about 200 mbs.
A retail game (the only one currently out) such as new super mario bros which is 2718 blocks (JP version), is about 340mb.
So overall, the offerings aren't much. Right now i'm actually doing fine with a 2gb card.

Edit: I just saw that it says "spend" $200. So if taxes don't count you can just get a game for it to qualify.
That's right, I was thinking the discount was applied at purchase. I may do this since I was planning to pick up from BB anyway.
