My screens are the same color tone in warmth, but I read somewhere that this had to do with the speed of the production and the glue for the screens not having set yet, and that it'd eventually settle on units where it's too bright. Whether this is true or not, I cannot say, just something I read somewhere else.
I really wish we had gotten a DSi XL like color set, but the blue is very nice, red looks good too (just not a red kinda person). I think one simple thing I miss, aestheticly from the original 3DS, is the three-tone kinda setup. Even when moving from that really slick Bronze DSi XL I had to a Aqua 3DS, I liked that triple color tone setup. Added some personality to it.
This is a really nice machine though, man it is so much more comfortable to use than the base unit. no more corners digging into your hands and the stylus can actually be used without a fight. All the buttons are nicer too, much more...firm I guess? Remember to calibrate your touch screen though, Theatrhythm was goin' nuts until I did.
DS games look really good too, I still would rather take the upscaling blur and go full, but even that is a lot nicer due to the size. I really had forgotten just how much I loved that DSi XL.
One of these days when there's less money to be spent around the house , on PC parts and on other junk, I'm gonna rebuy me a bronze XL, I really liked that thing.
