The game was fantastic its a shame that it hasn't come to the west yet.

If Bravely Default doesn't get localized I think SE is having some issues that need resolved.

Course the main reason Type 0 is having such a hassle is because of the system it's on.

I really don't want FF Type 0 to become the 2nd FFV. The 10 year lapse. I really hope they plan on doing an Anniversary thing for FFV. 2012-1992=20

There were some posters here saying that a Vita port is pretty much what SE is going for but Sony wants additional content as well to adhere to their policy on ports coming to their systems.

I'm in favor of that policy.

As long as they don't let the thing just die.

That shouldn't be a problem. Put in the Class Zero Recruits in as playable characters. Zhuyu too. It would be boss.

It makes you wonder why Ryid's entry has him a battle stance with his Pilebunker.

Also more summons. Like the ones that are in the game's data that are unused.

Like Pandemona, Typhon, Phoenix and Nemesis(Original).

Course since I have a 3DS I'm kinda obligated to be a jerk and say make it for that.

That wouldn't hold up the game much at all. They do Final Mix for every KH already, and international version for most FF games. It could be resold in Japan as the international version with some small extra content. They even put in extra content on FFV on GBA and Chrono Trigger and FFIV on DS. Even the FFIII PSP port has the option to switch between 8-bit and the new OST on the fly. Then there's TWEWY on iOS.

I'm just guessing, but I think they're probably doing some major graphical work on it. PSP games don't look that amazing on Vita. Even low tier Vita games like Shinobido have some elements that look better. Type-0 has very small areas and lots of loading. Then there's the control tweaks for 2nd stick and touch if they want.

Who knows what they're doing with this thing ...

I remember when Square made good RPG's and the FF franchise was very much against and direct sequels. And the characters were likable. And the worlds were intriguing and fun. And their was a WORLD MAP.

And then everybody left. And they started making shitty iOS ports. And exciting promises became broken ones. And the drop in quality matched my drop in interest in JRPGs. Which were all I used to enjoy.

fuck.

I'm currently playing FFXIII-2 and while I see some things that can be improved upon, I really enjoy that game. Nice music, good battle system, great graphics, nice maps, okay-ish characters. Now, instead of the historia crux, it would be awesome to let you explore Gran Pulse like in FFXII.

Versus XIII sounds interesting, but it took to long. Don't know if Square will mix it with Final Fantasy XV for next gen consoles. I heard that finalfantasyxv.com is already in SQ hands.

Int Version for Japan on another system, then localized a month later(or whenever) seems to be what my logic dictates.

Yeah it's a good policy. It pretty much is the source of the whole 'the ultimate edition of a game coming to psn a year later after being released on xbl' thing. People are less likely to be discouraged than if they were simply buying a year old port

I'm not sure but how is the mutliplayer done? Is it Wi-fi or is it local only? Because if the latter than they'll have to rework it for Wi-Fi since Sony pretty much requires it for games outside of Japan.

I used to have a 3DS and while I thought about it coming to the 3DS I think I'd much rather have a Vita version simply because of how the game looks (even though that'd force to buy a Vita).

Yeah i think an international edition is what will be coming to Vita. They are usually announced a year after the release of the original version. I can imagine a scenario where Sony would show it off in the Vita Game Heaven or TGS since they said they'll concentrate on Vita there and have many unannounced projects to show. It'll be a nice game for Japan and later we'll get confirmation of localisation coming to us.

That's almost poethic.

Sad... the day I decided to give up SE my sun shined again.

It's local, but you can use Ad Hoc Party on the PS3 to play with people far from you.

The problem is that literally 90% of the people connected that way were doing one specific mission that lets you fight an endles stream of monsters and thus grind to gain levels to your heart's desire. Only a few people were doing genuine cooperative missions.

If we could somehow use the microphone to communicate during these cooperative missions, Type-0 multiplayer would jump from gimmicky to amazing. You're already getting orders from your fellow squad members and from the Peristylium during the mission; people's voices come in on a radio that your avatar is carrying. Let's see them add in real-life voices from real-life allies.

World maps aren't that good, XII's more connected world was the best realisation of one to date in the series. That's what I'd appreciate in XIII-3, an attempt at a seamless world, with no crux or chapters breaking up the world.

Multiplayer WAS going to have infrastructure however PSN getting hacked put a stop to that.

Yeah that'll definitely have to be redone if it was to come out in the west. I remember Capcom wasn't allowed to put MH 3rd HD on ps3 outside of Japan because they couldn't have been bothered to re-do the multiplayer to use PSN.

Also I think it's a safe bet that this game will come out in the west, since they're already planning to create sub-series from this, but it's the uncertainty that's killing me.

Over time I'm sure people will be like me and get tired of Motomu Toriyama whoring the spotlight and get sick and tired of the lack of information regarding other projects as if no one is supposed to care other then the hardcore fiends that keep a strict watch on everything.(Like me)

I still remember the 'online element' that was shown off with the first FFX reveal.

Man, that looked pretty cool. Too bad it didn't work out, but PlayOnline was a frustrating bag-of-shit service anyway, so it was probably for the best.

FFIX's US strategy guide, which was basically a massive PlayOnline advertisement, still cracks me up. Horrible.

Most people are already at that point.

Am I the only one seeing Vanille's weapon in the clouds?

Yes. All I see is lightning, clouds, vague concepts of light and darkness, and self delusion of picking out things alluding to GILGAMESH which is complete BS but I will anyway.

Cuz he can PREDICT THE WEATHAH!

I am wondering if there is any chance that they will show something about versus and type-0 on vita(if it comes out) on sept 1 event.

When Kitase first told me he was promoting Motomu Toriyama, I had one thing to say:
"The guy who wrote that God-awful Racing Lagoon game?"
"I believe in Motomu Toriyama." Yeah, nice slogan, Toriyama.
But it caught Kitase's attention.
And then I started to pay attention to Toriyama and all that he's been doing as Final Fantasy's new director.
And you know what?
I believe in Motomu Toriyama.
I believe that on his watch, Square-Enix can feel a little safer, a little more optimistic.
Look at this face. This is the face of Square-Enix's bright future.
To Motomu Toriyama. Let's hear it for him.
Toriyama!

What was that nickname they gave me back at Squaresoft? Come on say it. SAY IT.

Could this game be some kind of prequel on Pulse?

Well... actually I am not interested anymore. I could not bring myself to complete XIII-2. I don't care for the characters, I don't care for the story.

In X I cared for the characters and the world. In XII I kinda lost the story and didn't think much of the bad guys, I still digged the world.

But hey, VIII is still the best FF ...

We dunno. Implications point towards after XIII-2. To me anyway.

Probably not. That would render the large Lightning Saga hint pointless. And the allusion to the supposed importance of the last DLC featuring Lightning.

Timetravel, bro. The future can change the past.

I've formulated a perfect way to piss off another fan base, especially if the get Tri-ace to make it.

Lightning will be possessed by Etro or Serah. Her new role is to recruit various l'cie throughout time to send them to prepare for the final war against Bune/Lindzei/Muin/whoever is supposed to be evil.

Towns will use the Valkyrie Profile/Resonance of Fate perspective.

It will be a semi platformer with a new battle system that is a mix between FFXIIIs and VP :P

Toriyama is a plant by Atlus to destroy SE from within.

I just really wish Noel was there. Also
Serah MUST stay dead. If they even think about bringing her back it'll ruin the ending of FFXIII-2

Toriyama = Shyamalan
