I'd like to know this too. Mine is in a similar state (with an added small scratch in the front, oop).
32GB version.
what type of camera upgrade do you guys think we will get? I'm hoping 10MP
As of this moment, Gazelle will give you $146. eBay / Craig's List likely a bit more. What do you guys think I could get for my 16GB iPhone 4? It has a couple scratches on the back and some of the stainless steel is worn.
Facetime was a gimmick? Wtf.

I wonder what gimmick Apple will come up with this year?

Considering neither are gimmicks, 2012 is rightly setup to continue forward progress with super sized but still manageable screens. Also known as Trueview.
Siritime.
The personal assistant will be given a face to increase the personal connection between you and your iPhone 5. Siri's new ability to convey emotions will also act as a 24/7 counselling service.
Siri still needs a lot of work, true. That said, the feature is not even a year old yet. There's still time for it to become a lot more useful.Facetime in 2010

How is video chat a gimmick?
Facetime is brilliant.
Not a gimmick. It's got by far the best video quality/smoothness of any video conferencing program I've seen, MILES better than Skype. It's also so easy to use that I taught my parents and we keep up that way. Definitely NOT a gimmick.Definitely. I own an iPhone 4 and it's the best phone I've ever used. But Facetime is a gimmick.
Smartphones with touchscreens existed before the iPhone. By your definition, iPhone is a gimmick.Repackaging a feature that had existed for years before and calling it revolutionary is a gimmick.

taking something that never worked well and making it completely usable and mainstream, and then attaching some good marketing to it = gimmickRepackaging a feature that had existed for years before and calling it revolutionary is a gimmick.

This.Pleeeease. Facetime is no gimmick. You can maybe make the argument for Siri (unless you use it to improve productivity) but Facetime? No sir.
Video quality and ease of use (and setup!) destroys all over chat services.
The best part of facetime is how awesome it is to use on the go when you're out and about.
You are doing the MOST right now.The best part of facetime is how awesome it is to use on the go when you're out and about.
Retina display was my favorite gimmick.
Just an opinion guys. No need to get so sensitive. Phones aren't serious business.
I don't think I've ever used FaceTime. Don't know anyone who own an iPhone 4 who does either.
Opinions can be wrong especially ones from people who have never used said service.
Sheesh.
I don't use it on a regular basis. Happy?

Actually considering to dump my Verizon contract, get an iPad mini/iPod Touch as a replacement for my iPhone, and just using a cheap old cellphone with prepaid card for regular calls. So tired of being under contract.
Hopefully something much better. Kind of a big influence on my potential purchase.Facetime in 2010

It's a shame WP8 and android weren't enough to get apple to implement NFC, unless it makes a surprise appearance this week. But the gap is closing. I'm glad other companies are keeping Apple on their toes. It's going to be harder and harder for Apple to pull away strongly in the years to come.

So where and how extensively is NFC used right now?
Nah, Apple isn't that kind of company. Too calculated. They'll think of a gimmick and just focus and indulge heavily in it whether it's worth the fan fare or not.I hope Apple doesn't get complacent on their throne and start throwing shit at a wall hoping it sticks.
