The thing most people don't know about eyes, is that they can actually speak. If you listen closely, you can hear them. They say:

Join us... Man...doric.

if u time it right you can see yourself reflected in her eyes

I just realized that while translating the modes of the gun, I actually messed something up. The disintegration mode is called Decomposer. Yup, it's definitely written by a Japanese dude. :P

Edit: Also, Gen Butch is totally a JRPG writer. "Sibyl System" hmm.... "The word Sibyl (in English, /ˈsɪbəl/) comes (via Latin) from the Greek word σίβυλλα sibylla, meaning prophetess."

Lol.

... okay I think I deserve my hell.

Local book store with the new releases for le week.

Been seeing a lot of stands for this Rising Rydeen light novel series. No clue what it's about though.

I'd hazard a guess at big boobed girls fighting, while a highschool age male MC tags along to save the day as appropriate.

I suppose that's better than seeing the numerous copies of Fifty Shades of Grey on my local bookstore's shelves.

Phi Brain S2 23

First half of the episode: THE DRAMATIC TRUTH REVEALED
Second half of the episode: PUZZLE ACTION

Man, Klondike went down like a bitch, didn't he.

Thank god there's only two more episodes of this to go.

Manga summary appears to be as follows:

Shimonone Takara, a young weird, healthy boy, has always wanted to be a "Strange Human". "Strange Humans" are people who posess an extraordinary power that can't be used by normal people. One day, Takara meets a woman named Aria who belongs to an organization. What does she want with him? Is Takara succesfully becoming a "Strange Human"

Yup, sounds about right! The light novel won some competition this year so I guess it's pretty popular.

There's a puzzle in this episode?

Rider looks so out of place there. Asuna being lower than Kuroyukihime is just awful.

As someone who has followed the polls pretty much every month since Macross Frontier aired (lol Ranka), don't worry. She'll be higher than her next month period, a bit of "lag" time in between what's actually airing and these polls. For instance if this issue had a lead story on Tiger and Bunny upcoming Movie, you'll see them two go #1 and #2 in the following (or maybe 1 after) issue. It's kinda like how the WSJ TOC Ranking polls are 8 issues behind.

From what I've seen of Karen in Yes! Precure 5, Reika at least doesn't entirely act like your standard 1% oujosama in spite of being one. That alone makes her more tolerable.

Reika falls under the "completely sheltered oujo-sama who wants to experience the world but has no idea how it really works" type, not the haughty oujo-sama type.

Also Reika goes to a (presumably) public school in spite of having buckets of money, which is a point in her favor even if "rich kids are just like everyone else and totally approachable and easy to befriend" is a false message.

Granted I've only seen seven episodes of Yes 5 so there's ample time for token characterization, but Karen doesn't strike me as the type who would have befriended the other characters if she weren't bound by her mutual purpose with everyone else. Hell,
her first transformation failed because she refused to be a team player
.

oh god I'm having enough difficulty slogging through it as it is

it might just be because she had 2 seasons of characterisations , but she escapes from the boring pretty fast and change her attitude. Beauty could be so much more ( active ) and aside from 1 episode i dunno if she grew as much as i would have liked to.

Bueno. Thanks for the insight.

Sailor Moon 19

Fuck this asshole for not only trying to discredit the good and incredibly fabulous name of Tuxedo Mask, but for also using Naru like that. ;_____;

i'm so mad i could flip a an endless supply of tables

LOGH 18

Well, I was certainly looking forward to the Rebel Nobles getting wiped out but the last line at the end has certainly made me uneasy of the whole thing. I'm guessing some of my favourite characters are probably gonna be dead when this is all said and done. :(

Who are your favourite characters?

Thanks!

Guys:
1) Kirito
2) Houtarou Oreki

3) Kotetsu T. Kaburagi
4) Rider
5) Lelouch Lamperouge
6) Kira Yamato
7) Barnaby Brooks, Jr.
8) Kyon
9) Archer
10) Cinque Izumi

Girls:
1) Saber
2) Eru Chitanda
3) Kuroyukihime
4) Yui Hirasawa
5) Asuna
6) Sheryl Nome
7) Lacus Clyne
8) Azusa Nakano
9) Nanoha Takamichi
10) C.C.

For comparison, last month's rankings:

Well at least they picked the superior vrmmorpg anime for the females.

Poor Haruyuki-kun :/ otherwise good rankings for the males.

Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team 10

Here starts a two-parter, with one of the best giant robot faceoffs I've seen. It's rare that you get to experience a fight between a group of grunts and a top-tier mech from the disadvantaged perspective.

In the future, DirectX is still being used. Nations may rise and fall, but Microsoft's dominion is eternal.

I didn't have a lot of respect for Norris before, but the man is a certified badass. He's awesome to watch in action, and he also gives Aina an edge that she lacked before. She was getting a bit too pixie-esque. This is good for her.

Did I mention how great that fight was? It was excellent. It gives a great sense of where Shiro actually falls in the grand pecking order of the war, without diminishing our appreciation for his skill.

ibfI0QEPuvbPSE.png

This kind of closeup pretty much has never happened with Shiro to this point in the series, which makes it all the more effective when it occurs.

The ending's definitely a bit of a cliffhanger, so I'm excited to see how this saga ends.

And now I'm all caught up with Hyouka.

Man, Fukube is such a dick.

I read your statement in such an inappropriate manner that I had to go back and re-read it :D

I had a very hard time accepting the best way to deal with your problem with obsession was by rejecting anything that would ask any level of passion but I had to take it with context that these are teenagers and they're prone to dealing with problems on the surface. It's only living life and making mistakes that hints us that we should dig deeper when dealing with our problems.

Nah dude is just a dick.

What he did should really just be the end of a friendship completely. Chitanda should have kicked him in the nuts.

And Mayaka is totally a yandere. He's basically sealing his own demise with shenanigans like this. I hope he gets NICE BOATed in the finale.

Does anyone remember the Votoms series?

I'm thinking about rewatching that because I'm not sure I got it all the first time through with all of it's branch side stories. Any suggestions on themes to keep an eye open for?

Edit: Oh snap! That's what they get for not announcing it properly!

I'm always really tempted to change to a football avatar or something and go into one of those kinds of threads to pretend to be an extreme anime hater and shit up the thread with pedo arguments, advocating violence against fans, masculine WannabeAlphaGAF rhetoric, etc. If only I thought that I wouldn't get banned for trolling...

Just use your alt for those matters!

Intertesting facts:

- None of the Psycho-Pass writers are anime regulars. Urobuchi is Urobuchi. Makoto Fukami is a novelist and manga author. Aya Takaha is a stage writer/director.

- The art director for Psycho-Pass also worked on Fate/Zero. *cough*

- Most of the other staff are IG regulars working on their more recent TV anime shows. A few worked with Shiotani recently on Blood-C The Last Dark as well.

And Steins;Gate! I can feel the hate already.

It's quite interesting how different the quality of a background art studio's output can be depending on the main animation studio producing the show. He worked with Madhouse on Tokyo Tribes 2, White Fox on Steins;Gate, and Ufotable on Fate/Zero, with very different results. It'll be interesting to see what IG does here.

FUCKING SELL-OUTS.

I remember liking them back in their indie days...

I'm kind of impressed that their last album got to number 1 without any single releases at all.

Speaking of which, it's possible/probable that the OP will be called "abnormalize", as that's the title of their next single out in November.

Of all the various arguments about NTHT I am really take issue with this particular one only because it's actually wrong! Look, that structure was clearly damaged by the snake thing and not to much by the stick. It was clearly architecturally unsound unsound anyway!

There are plenty of other things which are riper material for complaints.
You may take issue with it, but you haven't actually provided an effective counterargument. You may point to the stress caused by the snake thing below where the stick is hitting, but it's below where the stick is hitting. The structural soundness of a stone/masonry smokestack still doesn't correspond to being able to be smashed and then felled by a wooden stick instead of primarily being sheared off with the breakage point being where the snake is crushing. The force of the stick on the smokestack is supposed to equal the force of the smokestack on the stick, except here you're suggesting that the internal structure of the wooden stick is capable of providing this force better than the smokestack which is clearly collapsed from the collision. The stick, on the other hand, is not deformed. Not to mention that it's being torqued to produce this collision so even if it were capable of hitting head on, the shaft has to endure being bent between where it's being held and where it's colliding with the smokestack. Not one crack or splinter is produced.

Look, it's bullshit. There's no need to pretend otherwise.

I'm honestly surprised they're going to use the EGOIST band name outside of Guilty Crown.

Eh why not I guess, the other chick is the current vocalist for Supercell and Chelly + Supercell already have name recognition with that.

Supercell with Nagi as the lead won't be topped :(

not really a fan of his work for Fate/Zero where everything was kind of blurred. So I hope he reduces this effect for Pyscho-Pass.

Takahiro Sakurai voices Shuugo Makajima (sp?) in Psycho-Pass. Probably the white haired character at the end of the last PV.

This is really an all-star voice cast. Mmmmm.

Wouldn't that be the work of the Director of Photography? Composite is what controls focus on backgrounds. The art director and the background studio just does the actual background art - in either 2D or 3D.
