I had a very hard time accepting the best way to deal with your problem with obsession was by rejecting anything that would ask any level of passion but I had to take it with context that these are teenagers and they're prone to dealing with problems on the surface. You may take issue with it, but you haven't actually provided an effective counterargument. You may point to the stress caused by the snake thing below where the stick is hitting, but it's below where the stick is hitting. The structural soundness of a stone/masonry smokestack still doesn't correspond to being able to be smashed and then felled by a wooden stick instead of primarily being sheared off with the breakage point being where the snake is crushing. The force of the stick on the smokestack is supposed to equal the force of the smokestack on the stick, except here you're suggesting that the internal structure of the wooden stick is capable of providing this force better than the smokestack which is clearly collapsed from the collision. The stick, on the other hand, is not deformed. Not to mention that it's being torqued to produce this collision so even if it were capable of hitting head on, the shaft has to endure being bent between where it's being held and where it's colliding with the smokestack. Not one crack or splinter is produced.
