Yea this helps Norcal a lot if the can get rid of combo early. Since one would assume he poetically would destroy most of the other guys. At least this means if Socals depth is as good as we think it is they should still get three to four cracks at champ if the others win.

Infrit would have three straight matches to plan for Champ plus I think Champ gets a little tired.

I don't like watching Champ vs. Combo because Combofiend has so much trouble with Champ's characters. It's still hype because Combo's a great player, but watching the struggle and inevitable loss makes it so bittersweet.
Especially when he keeps refusing to use his Nova team.

it looks like in your post, they would play another set of 8v8. is that confirmed?

2 out of 3, the amount of rounds depends on how many each side has at the end of each set or something like that. It could all be over in one round.

You just go until the other team has no players left available. The only reason my prediction seem so much is because it went down to the last player on both side.
As in for another set yes my prediction is SoCal is up 1-0 after the first batch of matches, and from what I remember James Chen saying on UltraChenTV it's not only 2/3 (round between players), but 2/3 sets among Nor/So-Cal.

We almost had them this time. We fooled 'em with comeback mechanics, toned down character designs and no panty flashes. All we need next time is for 3/4th's of the cast to be trenchcoat wearing teleporters and we at EVO, Son.
