I'm in! I already do this every October anyway. By this point I'm about two years away from really scrounging the bottom of the barrel for horror movies, though.
If anybody's looking for suggestions, the "Bravo 100 Scariest Movie Moments" list is actually really good, with a decent number of obscure gems and influential works, including a number of foreign films. You can find the list
here.
This year I'm working off this list:
1. Last House on Dead End Street
2. Antichrist
3. A Tale of Two Sisters
4. Pulse (the original)
5. Inside
6. [rec]
7. Martyrs
8. The Eye (the original)
9. Frailty
10. Teen Wolf
11. Blood and Chocolate
12. El Aullido del Diablo
13. The Company of Wolves
14. Bad Moon
15. Kibakichi Bakko Vokaiden
16. Wolfen
17. Ginger Snaps
18. Human Trafficking
19. Hostel 2
20. The Hillside Strangler
21. The Hills Have Eyes (remake, although I really didn't like the original)
22. Irreversible
23. John Carpenter's Vampires
24. The Lost Boys
25. Underworld
26. Highwaymen
27. The Good Son
28. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
29. Tales from the Dead
30. Ichi the Killer
31. One Missed Call
32. Suicide Club
33. Akira
34. Dark Water (the original--the remake was meh)
35. The Hound of the Baskervilles (Hammer)
36. Scream of Fear
37. Curse of Frankenstein
38. The Reptile
39. The Plague of the Zombies
40. The Phantom of the Opera (Hammer)
41. Nightmare
42. The Mummy (Universal)
43. The Mummy (Hammer)
44. Dead End
45. Tenebrae
46. Night of the Creeps
47. Nomads
48. The Asphyx
49. May
I will probably also pick a franchise and try and knock out the whole thing (last year I did The Grudge movies, JP and US). That'll either be Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, or the Quatermass movies.
(Yes, that's longer than 31; I like having options, and might go over 31 anyway.)
