Why is MGS4 being brought up in here? That game delivered on the gameplay front. The ending sucked balls though.
There's a defense force and offense force for every game. I bet there's no game that everybody like or everybody dislikes. =)
Also, I'm part of the defense force. =D
I was honestly kind of surprised by that. Usually whenever anyone mentions the meme of games journalists being paid off or in the pockets of publishers and advertisers, Jeff has, in the past, come out and said that that's all nonsense conspiracy theories.

(Someone should shop something like "Hey Chris, look at all these bad scores!"
Welp, guess I'll play another round of Revelations I guess.
Slip of the tongue.I was honestly kind of surprised by that. Usually whenever anyone mentions the meme of games journalists being paid off or in the pockets of publishers and advertisers, Jeff has, in the past, come out and said that that's all nonsense conspiracy theories.
This is getting childish. Read your posts to yourself aloud before you post them.
have you never heard the phrase "less is more"? And 20 hours of mediocre, QTE-infested action does it no favors vs it being 10 hours long.
What's so intelligent about walking through a set piece?
if you may. I don't think dishonored is that bad though. What about stink lovers and team taste?
It was a joke.

Yeah.
I still don't think ragging on a game for being long is a good idea. Maybe the gameplay is good, maybe it's bad, I haven't played the game and I don't know. But I would much rather know I'm getting a 30-hour campaign for my $60 than the industry standard 6-hour campaigns we see everywhere.
One of my favorite games of all time is NOLF, which was a good 20-hour campaign. Whatever happened to that? If you don't enjoy a game, you won't like it whether it's 6 or 20 hours. If you do like the game, then more is more.

I figured something was up after reading this. Didn't think it was going to be THAT bad though.
but..he liked saints row the third?
if you may. I don't think dishonored is that bad though.
He thinks videogames are alright.Doesn't Jeff hate most games though?
Different teams and Capcom said RER was a gift to the fan base.Surprised they could release something like this after an awesome game like RE: Rev.
My Amazon pre-order hasn't shipped. If Capcom wanted to avoid cancellations why didn't they just make the embargo last till release day?

Yeah.
Have you never encountered something that seems repetitive? Gameplay mechanics that are fun for a few hours sometimes cease to be if you have to do them over and over.
This isn't funny I'm trying to discuss a video game.Rez is a poopoo head tee hee
Then who are the stink lovers? I'm lost.Since when is this the Dishonored review thread?
* Lastly, I really don't get the glee with which some people are handing out/receiving some of these bad reviews. Why are people so invested in seeing something get shat on? There are some really vicious things being said (many of which by people who really ought to know better), and for the life of me I cannot understand what people are getting out of this? Disappointment and caution I can wrap my head around, but some of the gloating vitriol does suggest some kind of agenda at work.

Critically well received.
Same here but I liked Indigo Prophecy more.I liked Heavy Rain.

Yeah.
I liked Heavy Rain.
Kind of a Killer 7 situation; there were reviewers who hated the game with all their guts, but others adored it. Me being belonging to the latter.Hm. I'm gonna play it before I decide to hate it.
I'm not gonna hate the game just because a lot of reviewers do. Heck, I might even enjoy it.
And many people liked it in GAF: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=418389
Plus Mikami's next game.so i guess Last of us will have to scratch that itch
It is only 3% away from being as good as God Hand!! YOU CAN DO IT CAPCOM!!!!
either capcom bought some reviews or this game is really a hit or miss with people.
