You either enjoy playing something it or you don't. As you say making something longer doesn't help, but how can it hurt by the same token unless there's some external factor FORCING you to persevere past the point where you've had enough?
Its a nonsensical complaint for anyone living in the real world. Its like going to a banquet and bitching that there are too many courses on the menu. Why are you forcing yourself?
In this game's case, where its structured into several smaller scenarios, that analogy is very much on point.
Plus Mikami's next game.
Sleeping Dogs is my current GOTY.Well that's that.
2012 GOTY is looking to be "Which of these games did you hate the least".

But I really liked Dragon's Dogma. Nothing to do with bandwagon Capcom hate. RE6 is just bad and I'm honestly, truly surprised that it has defenders. And a bit dismayed.Hating on RE6 and Capcom is the cool thing to do this fall. Better jump on the bandwagon or risk being called a troll for liking a game.

DD is amazing. The main reason I like seeing Capcom fail is because they cancelled MML3 and are not making DMC5.But I really liked Dragon's Dogma. Nothing to do with bandwagon Capcom hate. RE6 is just bad and I'm honestly, truly surprised that it has defenders. And a bit dismayed.

This is obvious even just by reading the OT.
What I'm kind of annoyed at is that the OT is focused on the less than steller reviews and completely ignores all of the better reviews that came out today.
even if ORC was a success and this will at least sell a few million, as a brand, this has been an insanely damaging year for capcom.
These two told me all I need to know. Not just angry or disappointed but providing a wealth of specific examples of all the ways it went wrong.Destructoid 3/10
Gamespot 4.5/10
I just hope Tomb Raider doesn't turn out as big of a fuckup as it seems to have the potential to be.Next year wont fare any better. I am not expecting much from DmC, Remember Me and LP3. Either critically or commercially they will fail, objectively it looks this way considering outsourcing has yielded little success for them. Heck if an in-house game like RE6 can be such a cluster fuck the hope for games from 3rd rate or unknown developers hitting the mark is near impossible. Major changes are definitely needed within Capcom.

It's not as though your initial comment was any better. I CAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE LIKE SOMETHING I DON'T.
Plenty of good games out this year already.Well that's that.
2012 GOTY is looking to be "Which of these games did you hate the least".
So you either take a break, or play/eat something else in the meanwhile! Once again, there is nothing forcing you to persevere through to the bitter end unless there's something external compelling you to do so.
It makes no sense especially when a game is split into discrete campaign scenarios. You could just treat the ones you didn't play as free DLC and dip back into them weeks or even months down the line.
Your entire argument is based on the premise that presented with x list of content, you MUST gluttonously consume it until its all done. Why?

Wrath of the Lamb, FTL, Spelunky, Journey, Dear Esther etc etc

Seriously. It's one thing to dislike a game but a lot of people can't even be respectful about it.

What? I'm just being honest about how I feel without insulting anybody. I really just can't believe it, based on the demos and all of the footage shown and the streams of the final game.Seriously. It's one thing to dislike a game but a lot of people can't even be respectful about it.
Despite everything I think I would rather play RE6 than any of the stuff you listed. :|Plenty of good games out this year already.

And out of all of those how many prominent reviewers or reviewers are there who are very good in their trade and in what they do?
I'm loving that as well. I just like the way Sleeping Dogs persevered through publisher turmoil.Borderlands 2!!!!
And out of how many in the OP? A review topic should tackle reviews from all angles I feel, not hyper-focus on the negative ones and not even mention more than half of the reviews today have been more positive than not.

I don't know why Capcom doesn't buy a 40/40 from Famitsu one of these days. Biohazard is like the last major series to not have a 40/40. DQ, FF, MGS, Mario, Pokemon, etc. have already gotten theirs.
Not enough AAA console shooters for you, eh? I always knew you were one of those dirty casual mainstreamers, Riposte. *spits*We are doomed!
What? I'm just being honest about how I feel without insulting anybody. I really just can't believe it, based on the demos and all of the footage shown and the streams of the final game.
I don't think anybody who defends the game is a troll or shill or has bad taste, there's always just personal preferences that override everything, but I seriously just come to a blank whenever I think of "what does this game contain that is worthy of enthusiasm." I just... don't know.
Despite everything I think I would rather play RE6 than any of the stuff you listed. :|

Because that's a far better analogy than your awful and ill-fitting food one.
