Pau doesn't get to be Thor. Isn't there someone a little more soft?

Jackson: James still lacks MJ's titles

I guess people can stop acting all shocked and appalled when the comparison between MJ and LBJ are made now. If Phil thinks the comparison can be made now, then it's pretty much official. Lots of authoritative figures in the game have weighed in now, comparing Bron to the GOAT. Seems like it's a legit argument now. PEACE.

If you let Jordan play with the rules we have today, he'd have dropped 100 on someone.

Lebron can play four positions on defense, but not offense. He can't play a traditional SG role at all.

He can post up a bit against smaller dudes, but not real 4s, either. He won't be posting up KG or Pau or even David West.

Phil is saying LeBron has a chance to maybe reach Jordan's level, because he has the physical tools... but sill needs to develop the skills.

LeBron's career in a nutshell.

No he wouldn't. SMH @ anyone that really believes that. Kobe dropped 80 on a night he was unstoppable. There are just limits to how much damage one can do these days. Coaches won't play a guy full minutes in a blowout either. PEACE.

You didn't watch the Indy or Boston series last year, then. Lebron posted 2 of those 3 up. He had to, because Bosh was injured and Wade was playing like ass. You realize Lebron is as big as most PFs, right? PEACE.

You know that Jordan dropped a 40 point game after he turned 40, right? And that was still before the ultra favorable rules that guys get today. In his prime, he'd have probably averaged 40 points a game. There's no way Lebron would have the same averages under the same conditions. Jordan scored 60+ when hand checks were legal.

Even more so than his multifaceted offensive arsenal, Robinson’s versatility and tenacious effort on defense have impressed Head Coach Keith Smart.

“I think this guy’s got a chance to be a top-eight defensive player,” says the Kings leader. “He has guarded our (small forwards) in camp, our (power forwards) and switched out on our (point guards) and (shooting guards).

“I think he has the (chance) to be an outstanding – I’m not talking about a good, but an outstanding – defensive player.”

No, Keith. No.

Keith...

Please.

I agree about MJ not hitting 100. His legend grows with every year that passes and it's gotten quite ridiculous.

That said, LeBron can't explode and reach those high totals simply because he is not a natural scorer. He never has been, he never will be. He is way too mechanical and awkward a shooter. It's the reason why he said he was happy he didn't have to try and score 30 a night anymore. Scoring is just not his passion.

If Kobe could get 80, Jordan could get 100. Heck, with today's rules Jordan could still lay down a 30 night if he suited up.

If more peeps don't renew, I may have up to four spots open in the elite Best-GAF fantasy league. I might open the second league too but I really haven't had much time recently.

when is the fantasy team draft

i want somebody to get stuck with a player that tears their acl before the season starts

The rules make it easier for guys to score, but defenses are way smarter than they used to be so it balances out. I doubt Jordan scores more than he did in the past if he was somehow transported in today's game.

^Except Lebron has a higher career PPG than Kobe on better efficiency.

...and yet he will never be considered one of the great scorers, like Kobe is.

He will never explode for 65+, much less 70 or 80. Heck, has he even cracked 60 yet?

He doesn't have the offesnsive repertoire to hit those peaks. His physical dominance can only take him so far on offense... and he's reached that.

Like Phil said, he's gotta develop the skills if he wants to reach that next level.

he could have had 60 against Boston in game 6. but he dominated them so thoroughly (and efficiently) further destruction wasnt necessary.

Could have had 60?

Mamba once had 64 pts through three quarters, didn't even step on the floor during the 4th. I could say he could have had 80, but his total was 64.

I think he got married this off-season.

After emerging in the bedroom he will now emerge on the court.

Ya'll ain't ready.

I bet DMC had to go in there and show him how to sling some dick. Prime Kate Upton wasn't with him for his looks

DMC covering for his ass on the court and in the bed. A true American hero.

Just be real, we know he's not as skilled as Kobe and wont produce 100+ 40 point games, but he was on pace for 60 point performance in game 6.
he could have done whatever he wanted to the Czs that night.

Kobe shoots like 41% from mid range. Jordan had seasons where he was hitting 50% from mid range. With today's rules he would probably have a 40ppg season. Even in Jordan's best FT and foul drawing years he never got them like the guys are getting them now.

And I think Lebron could play any position and excel. That's what he has over Jordan. Positions 1-3 Jordan in his prime could play them better than Lebron. Jordan could never play the 4 or 5, but Lebron could.

phil just fucked with lebron's psyche.
now lebron fully awares he HAS to match or surpass 6 rings to be even considered.
phil knows lebron will fold.
i get your game zen master.
i know it too well.

dude dropped 63 against one of the best teams ever in the playoffs before he was even close to his prime.

I don't think it's too farfetch'd to say he could have dropped 100 on a shitty Raptors team like Kobe did.

Big Al is taller and heavier than Bron...

Amare isn't a very good comparison since he can barely play the 4.

Let's see if Bron can handle the 4 before saying he can be a 5.

Al Jefferson isn't bigger than Lebron. Jefferson used to be heavier before the knee injury. He isn't anymore.
