I really enjoy Chuunibyou. It's a really enjoyable show to watch. That being said, I feel that Hyouka was definitely had more depth (I hate using this word). To be, Chuunibyou is a show intended to be enjoyed on a shallower level than Hyouka. It does have themes and I'm sure it will have character development (and I'll end up loving Yuuta and Rikka more than I do now). I just think that the goals of the two are different and there's nothing wrong with that. There are some people that will like Hyouka more, and there are some that will like Chuunibyou more. I think it's more worthwhile to judge anime based on what they're trying to achieve, not by comparing them to other anime that aim to do something else.
