Fighting Games Weekly | December 10-16 | The roads are still safe from Justin Wong

Hmm ok I think I got that down. So like I can't just rekka all day right? Don't I have to press other buttons? What are some of Fei's best buttons?

shouldn't the vergil one be replaced with Helmbreaker?

also i cant see justin playing seth
St.H is the best normal move in Vergil's arsenal. Helm Breaker can be dealt with and can be whiffed punished... st.H has so much range that even if Vergil whiffs it a lot of characters can't even get in to punish him in time.

st.HP if they jump and are above you, cr.HP from time to time, cr.LK when close and cr.MP followed by another cr.MP at medium distance.

You make a fair point, go for EX Rekka every now and then, you might catch them off guard.

By the way is it just me or EMP's stream on lower qualities is way behind the 720p option?

Lower resolution is always delayed, stream is compressed on server side and then restreamed I guess.

Yeah I'm aware of that but it seemed like it was way behind, more than your usual Spooby and LevelUp 360p, kinda weird or maybe it was just me and Triforce was answering the chat questions very slowly.

PR Balrog's Fei could be scary. I don't know what it is, but I've always felt he has something in this game the other top American players don't. He's the only one I feel could actually win Evo tbh.

He needs to have a pocket character for Infiltration's Akuma though because Fuudo has essentially perfected how to play Fei Long in terms of pressure, protecting the space behind him and general defence, yet their matches were sigma free.

Let's not forget Tokido, who has no more distractions before Evo either, I'd be surprised if he didn't refocus on SF4.

Then there's Eita...and Momochi (with 7 months extra practice). Facing the Demon is inevitable.

That brings up a good point. It's cool that they're switching to top tiers, but they're also switching to characters that everyone else already has tons of matchup knowledge on.

SF4 has been out for long enough that everyone short of Hakan, folks know the matchup.
No gimmick factor left at the level these guys play at.

PR Balrog's Balrog has done quite well against Tokido's Akuma. He does about as well as any non Cammy's against Infiltration's Akuma.

I think if they went the CafeID route they'd be golden. Just don't have Triforce vomiting stupidity on the mic.

Triforce said today that he wants to keep the streams more professional from now on, so no more raw "real talk." Surprisingly enough, in the short time he was on the mic today he gave a remarkably good analysis of Infiltration's performance at SF25. So I guess maybe Triforce is able to act professional when he needs to.

LMAO @ this Marvel hype compilation video.

Includes MarlinPie creeper face combo, Noel "I already got this match won" Brown, Thank God for the Machine and even OMGitzInfinites hype.
They need the entire MarlinPie rape face segment to understand how hilarious it was.

Good video, feels like it's missing a lot, but there have been so many amazing marvel moments over the past two years I ain't even mad.

Thanks for the links to those interviews, enzo.
What is the CafeID route exactly?

And np.

Maybe he means familiarity with the character and getting in the groove and feel with them, not learning new tech. Just feeling comfortable with what is known.

CafeID has a stream up for the most of the day of them playing AE & KOF.

I feel like Makoto has enough gimmicks to last her into the next decade.

As long as she gets a good bracket, she can win some tourney majors. Too bad we have no Makoto tournament players in the US.

Makoto gets fucked up by Cammy pretty hard. I think she loses to Fei Long pretty bad too but I don't know the match that well.

Otherwise, she's a much better tournament character than she was pre-2012. Mostly because nobody plays Yun and Yang anymore.

That's what I meant by "Get a good bracket". My solution for a bad matchup is that I'm generally better at playing Cammy anyways, even though I play Makoto more.

My Cammy and Makoto are both free to turtle Bison.

Problem- Makoto isn't going to get a good bracket in the US.

Especially not if this "pick a top tier" trend sticks around.

I think if anyone capable of placing high at majors was gonna start maining Makoto, they would've done so by now. And she's not even a good pocket character because she kinda takes a lot of work. Maybe if you main a character that gets fucked up by Dhalsim or something because that match is pretty free.

Well if a miniscule population picked up Yun then nobody is going to pick up Makoto.
