October 19, 2006 - Though you may remember a similar announcement for the PSP made a few months back, Sony Online Entertainment's new e-Distribution title, Ca$h Carnage Chao$ DLX (working title), is headed for the PlayStation 3 this November.
Slated for release sometime in the early launch window (possibly even day and date), Carnage Chaos mixes the idea of a 1970s game show with the need to save the human race from total annihilation. In all, players can expect to traverse more than 50 different stages using a familiar Smash TV-type control scheme while experiencing two different modes (Game Show -- a three-season, 15-episode jaunt and Re-run -- a score attack challenge).
In addition to what's mentioned above, Cash Carnage Chaos will also include three different difficulty settings (Wuss, Cool, and Bad Ass), numerous weapons and awards, dozens of different enemy types (hillbillies, clowns, aliens, pirates), and giant transforming bosses. Expect in-game cutscenes and a San Diego-inspired punk rock soundtrack as well.
