I thought The Getaway was really good, very nice story and the overall gameplay was pretty well put together also especially when compared to other games of its kind at the time. Getaway 2 on the other hand, yah that was pretty bad.

The problem is that they have a multitude of problems, some of them due to McNamara stubborn refusal to address them in the first game even when they had the budget, like putting in a on-screen map, a better targetting system and fixing the "lean and heal" system, the sequel just didn't look like it had anywhere near the same kind of budget, they tried fixing a few things but they were already so behind gameplay-wise, it looked like they were just squeezing another game out of the engine, and the tech just fell behind.

Yeah, I agree with that. But I would add a short piece of video. Either a short montage of footage from games we haven't heard from in a while (Fifth Phantom Saga etc) or it'll be done like Halo Wars was in X06.....

We'll have Kaz Harai say "And finally we'll leave you with this........" and then we'll get something surprising... or totally underwhelming.

Really? I hadn't heard. Interesting. The initial video shown at E3 2005 looked quite interesting with a floating avatar battling with you, but subsequent 'real time' videos (the one set in a court yard) looked awful.

Ya rly! Sega didn't make a big deal about it, it was a quiet cancellation. BTW I am pretty sure the E3 2005 trailer was a concept trailer with real time assets because when they showed the game at TGS 2005 it wasn’t looking very good!
