wow. I almost forgot. I can't wait to see what the euro/us development side of things will bring. According to the 1up show... lots of new reveals?

Im holding out this little hope in my heart that Tekken Tag 2 will be shown. Then be announced as a launch title.

Jeezus ****, do you people even sleep? Just to make it absolutely, perfectly clear, shit starts proper at 2PM Pacific. At 11:30, the only impressions you're going to see are how awesome lunch is (which, given the food last night, might be pretty awesome). Seriously, though, slow down the expectation mega-train. It'll be cool for confirmation and stuff, but last night nobody gave the indication they were going to melt our faces off with the awesomeness of some announcement.

They did think the venue was k-rad, though. Or badical, whichever you prefer.

Well Guerilla was purchased by Sony, the official Sony Killzone message board is really active and developers do participate there. The producer already said they wont talk about until Liberation is released…

Same with the Tekken! It was at E3 and the developer did comment on it during the summer.

Fifth Phantom Saga was a terrible looking game, the tech wasn’t going anywhere…not to mention the fact that Japanese can’t make FPS games!! I don’t understand what’s warranting so much attention….

IT was going to be a shitty game and Sega did the right thing by quietly canceling it.

I'd love to see some new stuff, but I have a feeling this is gonna be a show that focuses on features, strategies, retail plans, etc..... It'd be cool if they had a major blowout with secret titles, I just don't see that happening though. Also has it even been confirmed if there is a Press conference at this thing? And where the heck was MOH Airborne @ EA's show last night? :(

I don't really expect a lot of things from this event and people that do will get disappointed, no doubt.

There are "executive presentations" where the Sony brass will talk at the press for a while, we'll get some fancy pants demonstrations and then everyone breaks to get their game on... and then get faced. This isn't like an E3 press conference or anything, it's just a way to prep the gaming press on all the little launch details, show off a couple new games, and basically help give the hype train one last big push down the tracks.

The debug/loaner PS3 situation is still a little dodgy right now; some folks have their PS3s, most don't, and this is a good way to get a bunch of people to play the launch games and talk about some of the stuff that'll be there on day one without having to send out debugs and run off preview revs and so on.

Seriously... some of the important launch details are finally going to be communicated, and you guys somehow thing this is going to be some megaton blowout. Gamers Day is mostly for hands-on impressions of upcoming products - in this case, the PS3 and launch window games.

Expect more info on the online plans and downloadable content/games, retail packaging, backwards compatibility, and maybe a somewhat interesting game announcement here and there, and some screens.

But mostly, hands-on with the launch lineup, and a lot of those launch & online details.

Do we have ACTUAL confirmation about this lunch thing taking place, or is this still just hearsay? And what about details? Hearing they had lunch is nice and all, but without better information, does that even make much of a difference at this point?

I don't know man, I've had their menu since Nov.22 last year and I still prefer my old PS2 cheese burger. Such a classic.:)

As for registering, it was pretty easy. I got my credentials and a bag of swag.

Inside, there wasn't much. There's a T-shirt, a blank notebook and pen, all of which have the PS3 logo. We'll be giving those away at a later contest.

That's the good news; the bad news is that festivities don't get started until 11:30 a.m. That's the luncheon for the press. I'm expecting that it'll be a lot of hobnobbing.

Around 2 p.m., we'll be going to Gamer's Day itself. Sony will ferry us to Dog Patch Studios, where we'll hear a couple of executive presentations and finally get our hands on the PlayStation 3.

Dog Patch Studios is not a developer as we all assumed based on scoot's post :lol It's just a venue for events and the like.

I think that since E3 people have been so hoping and wanting that Sony has some secret surprise that will make all their decisions seem smart that they hang onto and hope for any crumb of information.
