Oh how far we've come in 12 years (by the time game launches it'll be 13 or more). I was recently lamenting the lack of KoTOR 3 on this gen's consoles and how cartoonish the animations looked for KoTOR1 and 2 on Xbawkx. Now imagine a KoTOR game with visuals around 3/4ths of what can be seen here (given it'll be somewhat open world game).

I think you might be thinking of JK2's release date, ye olde JK1 is from 97.

As an aside, JK2 was a pretty big leap over 1

Yea, I meant JK2, which according to wiki was released Oct 1997. This basically means I got my math amazingly wrong! I meant to say 15 years and by the time it's released (if it's year) then perhaps 16 years.

Also, what is a Jedi doing with a Lightmeatcleaver in second picture?

MOAR Warframe pictures please. There is a softness to the lighting and it to me looks like a next gen title.
We're going get a lot of bloom again in the first wave of next gen titles aren't we :(

With Disney owning the Star Wars brand and having their own gaming division, along with Bioware being an EA partner, what are the chances of a proper KotoR3 ever happening? Then again, Bioware seem to be heading in the wrong direction and chose to make TOR instead.
Has Disney ever outsourced a game on its own property to an external studio / publisher? Also Bioware isn't a EA partner, they're fully owned by EA.

That being said I think that it wasn't Bioware's decision to go with TOR instead of KoTOR3 and also they should get Obsidian to do KoTOR3 not Bioware. Bioware is a shadow of its former self.

I don't think it looks awful, but the motion blur is on the heavy side and ruins the screenshots of course. I have nothing against some bloom and lens effects, fits the game.

So, more Warframe.

Because vaseline smudge with a smidge of myopia is shit and has nothing to do with next-gen.

I have only seen 720p/1080p Ytube vids and so I'd take your analysis to be more accurate. However, statements like "FFS" without putting a statement to support your view sounds somewhat dismissive and arrogant. Still, thanks for your input.

I guess my simpleton tastes are satiated much more easily, lol.

What is that!? Looks like a centipede from Gears latched on this warframe's bottom half!

Nah, it's difficult to satisfy some folks, they have particular taste and everything that is a bit against their rules of how a game should look like is garbage or awful.
Nothing wrong with that, it's still opinions - like I said I also like when a game pulls through a particular style and in this case it works really well for me.

Spores, they infect marines/space dudes ;) - They animate quite lovely.
edit: Oh you mean the armor? It's just armor...

Who cares... the game is fun. It expands on ME3's multiplayer concept, the only good thing in the game btw. Now that they fucked up story quite badly in the series, I would like Bioware to give their shot at an online-only ME action game similar to Warframe. I dig that whole sci-fi coop mission running concept with leveling/upgrading honestly.

Who cares...

You really thought that was the most intellectual thing you could say in a thread which sole purpose is to post high resolution shots of PC games and houses a lot of graphical whores where discussions about a game's looks, effects and engine takes place often?

For a F2P title in closed beta that weight only about 600 megs, you can give it some slack.

No.

It's a game that tries to use a lot of horrible effects and people are already enamoured with it graphically, it's trying to establish itself as some graphical wonder and thus I'll comment on it as such. We don't pull up an excel sheet in here to look at the price, size and whatnot just to make a comment and go "Ohhh but it's F2P, by my calculations then it must be the best looking game in the world then!". Plenty of F2P games look great, that's not an excuse. The game taking up X amount of space has fuck all to do with an artistic decision of smudge, Vaseline and a bland look - Games at 10GB can look like that, has nothing to do with size. I'm not even commenting on the textures.

With regard to those awesome ENB Skyrim shots, i've always thought they looked amazing when seeing them in this thread and around the net, but I actually tried it out myself the other day and I actually found it really difficult to play with, regardless of what profile I used. The game just looked sort of gross in motion. Almost an information overload sort of sensation.

Decided to mess about with Tera again since they're going F2P and they gave me some free time.

As always, great game to go screenshot-hunting with (especially now that I can downsample and stuff - though in this case the performance is ABYSMAL with downsampling and SGSSAA is waaaay better).

These are all downsampled from 3200x1800:

Stop those selective counter leech comments.

My bad.

Agreed, it looks rad. I must've missed the memo being passed around in this thread where the devs are flapping their graphics chops. I suppose this would be less of an issue if the game were 10gb and they disabled some graphics by default. Everything else aside I must be missing out as I'm not running into a lot of games where dudes got hammerhead lookin helmets and are slicing bipedal walkers in half with space katanas.

edit: should've stuck with your original post, now you've got me blushing
