No, 1990s. Or '90s. Not 1990's or 90's.

But yeah, it was cool. Lots of awesome shows, movies and games I'll never forget. It was of course more special to those of us who grew up then (born in '85 myself).

GAF doesn't seem to like this show, it's barely ever mentioned and whenever someone does that comment is ignored. Do a Google search for 3rd Rock on NeoGAF and you'll know what I mean.

Not a fan of anything JGL. Feel free to add it though. These weren't things I necessarily liked.. just things that reminded me of my childhood.

90s Anime <3:

i grew up in the 90s so its my favorite decade.
Since most of gaf grew up in the 50s its not surprising that they hate the 90s.

Best decade. 80s plebians with their hairspray and shitty fashion can't help but grovel at the feet of the 90s.

Also, we ended the Cold War. Suck it!

My favorite decade for music, and my second favorite decade for fashion.

Ah yes a thread I can relate to. I've been watching Ren and Stimpy recently on Netflix. That show is histerical and so weird. It's great. It's a shame Nickelodeon can't put anything on like this anymore. Cartoons in the 90s ruled. Including Cartoon Network's lineup. SWAT Kats, 2 Stupid Dogs, Ed Edd n Eddy, Rocko, Doug, Ren and Stimpy, early Rugrats, Batman the Animated Series, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs. Cartoons and TV have taken shit in the last 20 years. It really is a shame.

I loved the plethora of cartoons made to launch their toy lines. Man these would make awesome videogames with todays graphics.

The days of being charged by the hour on AOL.

The days of getting in trouble for running the phone bill up by getting online without permission.

Outside playing handball or ghetto bball (a.k.a. make up the dumbest dunks you can think of with the rim set to low), hurt yourself, go inside when its dark, clean up, eat dinner, watch some dbz

The good ol days.

Although it was said here and i agree: the "true" greatest decade was 1985-1995.

Back when people where outside 7 hours a day cause no Cell phones or PC at the time for most. Also arcades.

Kind of miss this actually. I remember the blackout from a few years ago in NY was pretty amazing because suddenly everyone was outside talking to one and another and discussing books and such. Completely different world.

SNES was weekends only. Get caught playing it on a school night and you are getting the belt

...man things need to change nowadays.

Toys back then were made better than they are today. Also, they were more creative. Cartoons were the same way. Cartoons today, except for a limited few, are garbage.

DOOM2_1.9.png

No mods, no source ports, no sound, no full game. Doom. Shareware.

My dad would bring me to work sometimes in the summer and set me up on a PC. I don't think on-board sound was thing yet, at least in offices.

The best Happy Meal toy.

I had the ones that transformed into dinosaurs. They were awesome. I almost had the complete set too. My Mom would take me to McDonalds and, if I had the toy already, she'd ask if I could get one that I didn't. Most of the time, they happily obliged. Good times.
