The home stretch - Bioshock Infinite has gone gold

Very, very nice. Despite the development hell it has been through, I am VERY MUCH looking forward to this game.

I'll wait for reviews before buying it, but I'm HYPED!

Why do I get the feeling were in for a Aliens Colonial Marine like surprise? I really hope I'm wrong in the matter since I'm actually looking forward to it.

Soon... 'liz...

Soon...

It's a scary thought isn't it. I will not be pre-ordering nearly as much as I used to after that whole fiasco.

Has anyone spotted Levine yet?

Nobody has ever built a game quite like this. It’s a shooter, but a shooter that brings you to very uncomfortable and dangerous places. I can’t demand that you play the game; I can promise you, however, that once you have, it will be an experience you won’t soon forget.

Who is Booker, and what is the debt that drives him to Columbia? What are Elizabeth’s powers and why has she been locked up since she was a child? Why does Booker have the letters “AD” branded into his right hand? And what, in God’s name, is the Songbird.

Columbia is a city teeming with mystery. I’m glad to say that one mystery is over: On March 26th, you will be able to play BioShock Infinite.

So fucking hyped.

We couldn't possibly have two highly anticipated games turn out shit in less then a month. We couldn't be that unlucky. I fear for the industry if that occurs.

This is the first time since a looong time im tempted to preorder this.

No, I don't think you should. Wait for reviews. Pre-orders must die.

I really do hope this delivers. The world and characters excite me in ways a game hasn't done in fucking ages- let's hope the game itself lives up to that.

Luck Vs. Environment Surrounding Quality of "AAA" Game Releases. Which one usually wins out?

Uh, how is Dark Souls related to the suspect quality (given that -many- production delays, content cutting is not always positive) of Bioshock Infinite?

You referred to the "environment surrounding AAA titles". Doesn't Dark Souls prove great games are still coming out?

LOL over exaggerate much? This team isn't gearbox and wouldn't let their own IP get fucked up like that.

Gearbox had restored its pedigree with Borderlands 2. That's why people were shocked at how bad CM was. Comparing them to Irrational though, that's a long bow.

Dark Souls is more like AA and not AAA

It's a huge game though. I can't imagine how it didn't have an equally huge budget.

Who is doing the OT for this anyway? (out of curiousity)

Make it Derrick, for the lols.

The only game I've been waiting for since finishing Bioshock is almost upon us.

Time to book some time off work!!

Get outta here with that malarkey. Levine ain't Shitford.

Because Irrational isn't Gearbox.

After that mess I'm worried about any game with a longer than normal dev time. Though like I said I hope I'm wrong which I probably am.

So kinda what Bioshock 1 went through? Unless you didn't like that one either. :p

Dark Souls doesn't just magically prove that all games that come out are great. It's okay to be excited for a game you're excited about, but to deliberately not acknowledge the very public troubles this game has had and how that might affect quality is deluding yourself.

Of course I acknowledge the troubles, and I also acknowledge how overstated those same troubles have been. I'll happily eat my words if Infinite turns out to be a bad game.
