Because almost everything positive they have to say about their games is crap. Listening to Nathan Camarillo and Cevat Yerli brag about Crysis 2 was painful.

Crytek has claimed that Crysis 2 contains the best graphics in the history of video games. Nathan Camarillo said that Crysis 2 has the 'best graphics you've ever seen'. The studio also reckons Crysis 2 offers a "complete gaming experience like no other". Crytek boss Cevat Yerli has claimed that the enemy AI in Crysis 2 is the most sophisticated in video game history.

I don't think that's the case at all. We know for a fact Sony was looking at using a hell of a lot less ram until Microsoft decided to use a ton of slow ram. Then Sony felt pressured to step up.

Funny enough Sony could have stayed with 4GB of GDDR5 and stomped a mudhole in MS ram but on paper 4 is less than 8 so they had to jump to 8.

There was no magic 8GB from the get go.

2 or 4 GB of fast RAM is more likely. And I think that speed is more important than massive amounts of RAM anyway.

I don't quite think people understand what an enormous upgrade even 2GB represents.
