Yep, I thought so too. Very PS1/early PS2 mascot platformer-esque. Fuck yeah.
And while the human design looked pretty bad, I liked the look of Knack. He's cute. :3

If Sony were smart, they would have a tv series and/or movie lined up leading up to the release.
Surprised to see people hating on the art style. I love it!
The hate is off charts in this thread.
I really liked, something different and old school, I hope it to be a launch title.
The humans like like a Pixar movie rejects.
My first reaction was it looks like a Dreamworks movie.
Honestly, I feel for the devs. I'm sure they have put a lot of effort into this, but why do games like this even get greenlighted? This looks like it will be a bomba.
Give us an IP that will actually excite us, and where money would be better spent. e.g. Ratchet and Clank or Jak and Daxter.
Why Sony is making seemingly expensive family games for a $400 platform is beyond me.
Because not everything has to be a Call of Duty shooter.
The first Ratchet & Clank on PS2 moved over 6 million copies. I'm not sure if the five releases this gen combined add up to that.
