720P Plasma

I am ordering a small 24" 1080P LED monitor since I don't feel that my 50" 720p plasma is cutting it as the games come out with my glasses on I still can't read the small text in Monster Hunter also with them on I can't see the gamepad have to take them off to see that

so having something closer to the size of my gamepad that I can sit close is what I want for gaming now

I wish I could just plug my wii u to my macbook
I could not find a good 1080p 13" LED with low input lag :(

So this is my haul so far.

Not too happy overall with Floaty Physics: The Game in the middle there, and I regret buying Puddle, but other than those I've been happy.

Even though I discovered I suck at Tekken and it's just not for me, I'm still glad I bought it!

Nice haul! I suck at TEKKEN too but was doing well last I played

I got two slots filled in the bottom row of my second page April should reach the 3rd page lol

So is there a thread on these Ubisoft sales on the EU eshop ? Every Ubisoft game is half-priced, including ZombiU and AssCreed 3. French user here BTW.

Ok, I love my Wii U but I have an odd problem. Anytime I press the power button on the gamepad the Wii U light will just blink until I unplug it. I can only turn on the console by pressing the button on the console itself, then turning on the gamepad.

Any ideas what's up?

I just got home from Afghanistan and I got my Wii U hooked up and it's a pretty slick piece of hardware. Really like that I can use the controller as a TV remote.

It's currently downloading updates, so I expect it to be doing that for a while.

I really hope Nintendo can get the problems with the console ironed out (new games would help a lot) as there's a lot of potential with it.

Must have a vist there with Wii U Google Street View one day !

Gonna buy Ass creed 3 thanks to the ubi sales. Will be my first retail download! Just thought i'd share.

Still pretty happy with the wii U, still going through zombiU. I'm no good :(

Also check out the the Nintendo TVii feature. I just discovered it has live sports casts of games that aren't being televised. A cool thing I never knew about.

So I bought a PS3 about 2 months ago now. I have to say that while some people may not think Wii U is much going forward it's a lot easier to tell when you go backward. I'm playing through Disgaea 3 and boy do I wish I could play it on the gamepad, it's just so much more convenient and I wouldn't have to sit in my desk chair (which I do all day). Also just flipping inputs is enough to get annoying sometimes, I need to go back and forth with the video/audio to use my computer and look at faqs etc. It's amazing how quickly I've come to miss just turning on the controller and going.

Apologies if not picked up on earlier in thread but HMV in uk have a nationwide offer that has started today:

32g Wii-U premium pack (Nintendoland) plus ZombiU for £199.99

Hope that helps some of you guys out - hopefully going to pick one up tonight.

So I just linked my wiiu and my club nintendo account. Do I get retroactively get coins for the digital games I purchased? I basically just want to link them to my account in case something bad happens too my Wiiu.

You've basically said Wii U is next-gen there for all those reasons !!!

So I got a Wii U on Sunday from the Target deal. Picked up the following games:

New Super Mario Bros U
ZombiU
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Sonic Racing Transformed
Bit Trip Runner 2

I'm really loving the system so far. Specifically the cool new controller stuff and the Miiverse stuff. Really hope they get an iOS Miiverse app soon.

I haven't had a chance to dig into any of the games yet. This is my first Monster Hunter, and I'm really digging it so far. Very different tone than I expected. I expected it to be dark, but talking cats! Hope to play it a bunch this weekend and maybe dive into ZombiU.

Anyway, just wanted to share my SATISFACTION in this thread.

hey, not really sure where to post this, but i just finished a long nintendoland session with my cousins only to find that my youngest cousin was digging into the left gamepad analog stick with his nail every time he used it...

is the stick made out of some sort of reforming material? or will the dug in nail indents be forever there to haunt me and throw off my grip?

Guys, is it possible to watch Hulu Web content on Wii U, it pisses me off that so many of my favorite shows have to be watched using a PC browser!

Is there a way to cheat the web site into thinking that one's using a PC web browser?
there is no way to change the user agent string on the wii u to make websites think its something else and after messing around with stopping the website from fully loading, clicking on any show gives you this error: The page you were looking for doesn't exist (404 error)
Sorry - we couldn't find the page you were looking for. You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.
Visit the Hulu.com home page.

Not sure if this is the place to ask this, but what do people rate as the ACTUAL chance of a price cut before the end of the year? Reading this thread has made me want a Wii-U and right now Target has some good deals running.

I had talked myself into waiting for a price cut, but if it is more than a year away I may just jump on it now.

I think you should wait at least till E3 to make this question
Despite all the problems the console has right now, Nintendo seems to be too stubborn to drop the price.
I'm not saying it's not possible, actually, the chances are high but I'm sure they'll wait to see the reaction caused by their E3 conference with games, dates, exclusives blah blah to decide if they cut the price or not.

After all, that's what people is expecting. Nintendo games.

So I've been wondering if there was any way to transfer/copy saves data from an external storage to the wii u internal memory. External hard drives being what they are, having a save backup somewhere in case things go wrong is always useful...

I think the chances are very good we'll see a price drop before the end of the year. Probably $50, but if they're truly panicked, it could be $70-100.

I know ONE guy in my country who has a WiiU. He cant stop talking about how happy he is and how ZombiU is the best game ever.

He was never the gamer type.

There will be a shareholders meeting very soon (end of april) the numbers will be abysmal so iwata might make a desperation move to save his ass
Like forreal they need to make a move. This one year headstart to me was basically Nintendo saying, "lets see what we can get away with before the other consoles arrive." While Ive learned to deal with the lack of information from Nintendo I do find it a bit silly that many games from almost from last year have so much uncertainity. Things like W101, have we only seen two areas from within the game? Virtual Console? Which games will be on there? Pikimin 3 what? WW HD we only see screens and know not really much of the changes to the actual game of which will be out in the fall. I mean I bet we will know more of BF4, MW4 before it. Yea E3 this E3 that but they should be atleast trying to pursue driving intrest into a such a machine in position as the Wii U. I understand this is how Nintendo works but it can be detrimental in ways. The last Wii U direct so damn good and all those games shown many people here even wanted to buy a Wii U as silly as it sounds. But if theres always quiet time things like WWHD, X, Bayo 2, SMT X FE, Yoshi Yarn all get lost among the many things happening in the constant changing gaming world. Nobody even talking about these games anymore aside from the random Nintendo fan reminding someone who could care less in the first place. People say Nintendo has screwed this gen or its over. Let Nintendo actually start first.

And yea I know this is a satisfaction thread and yes Im satisfied but theres never a such thing as too much satisfaction.

I can definitely see the allure of going all digital with the Wii U, and having all those games on the gamepad at your fingertips!

What's stopping me from going digital is knowing I can save more by going retail.

I get savings through DDP which I love.

But more importantly, if I didn't go digital, I'd have to import all these disc-based games and pay crazy money for shipping and customs duties because of where I live. I don't even want to imagine how much money this has saved me.

Porting Bayonetta would make a lot more sense than most of the other old games being brought over. I'd buy it.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that Wii U will get the original Bayonetta. I was thinking of getting Bayonetta for Xbox 360 in anticipation of the sequel, but I'll probably wait until it hits Wii U. Just for trying it on that system.

How does the digital sales bonus points thingy works? The one where I get 10% back on my purchases? Has it not started yet, or am I missing something? (Yes, I have a Deluxe)

I think it's necessary for Bayonetta 2's success, but at the same time it can harm Bayonetta 2 sales since people who buy the first one might have genre overload for the second one. It's a tricky thing to maneuver.

If nintendo make bayonetta2 two edition 1+2 in one package or 2 alone that's will be great .

Go to this site: https://p.nintendo.net/
Select your country.
Log in with your NNID and PW.
There you can see how many points you earned.
Everytime you have 500 points you can exchange them for an eShop credit code.

Edit: Beaten.

Probably better to release the Wii U remake after B2 has landed.
