That could be due to the wrinkles on the paper and the light being reflected on it causing it to have some whitish streaks. You can tell it is Venipede for sure due to the two things sticking out at the end of its tail.

Ah, don't recall if it was different in Red/Blue, but Mew and Mewtwo have definitely been introduced in the story - although I don't think what happened in the Pokemon Mansion was completely clear from in-game information.
 
Please dont be the big news this weekend. Wait it cant right? I mean the new movie doesnt exist yet in america nor does genesects new form

Mew and Mewtwo were mentioned by NPCs a few times in Red/Blue, but it was just the basic premise behind them and nothing else.

hey

when one of your favorite pokemon is consistently snubbed in favor of a "cooler" clone, you tend to be bitter towards said pokemon.

what did mew get in BW? Squat. No new moves, no DW ability, no movie, no special anime appearance... nothing. it's like gf completely forgot about it!!

and just so you know, i've always genuinely dislike mewtwo, i'm not bagging on you guys because i like seeing you suffer (n_n)
 
Am I the only one that's not crying that Game Freak's destroying my childhood? Mewtwo's one of my favorite Pokemon too, but I want clearer shots before I start saying this looks like crap.

It doesn't seem that bad anyway.

Naw, I'm not freaking out - if it's real, I'm interested in how they'll explain it. I like reintroducing the Berserk Gene, if they plan on doing it, though it'll have to be accompanied with a handwave as to why the forme change couldn't have been done in G2.

It's just a kneejerk reaction. I'm pretty sure that the starters are the first Pokémon revealed in quite some time that were almost unanimously loved, and even then there were many who needed time to warm up to their designs.

I don't think it's terrible, but I'm not a huge fan of Mewtwo in the first place. I guess if anything, this just cements Deoxys as the best form-changing Psychic-type Legendary :T
 
Another thing I realized, we've got enough of an excuse to beg for Mewtwo back into Smash Brothers now.

i actually don't mind it at all. looks cool. i don't see how it would ruin mewtwo for anyone anyways, since that will continue to exist anyways. childhood ruining - for me - is when a character is redesigned.

If anything it probably means Mewtwo is going to be in the X/Y pokedex, which would be a first for a legendary appearing in another regional dex.

That would make sense, at least them giving Mewtwo a new forme kinda does. This is X & Y, chromozones and genes and all that.

I think people warmed up to Sylveon too (soo cuuuute~)

Ah well; any news is good news at this point, and I'll enjoy seeing the Kotaku/IGN meltdowns should this new forme be confirmed.
 
I'm guessing Mewtwo's new form will be defensive beast or a physical attacking powerhouse. Regular Mewtwo already has amazing special attack.
 
I didn't really like the gen V Pokémon at first but they grew on me in a big way. Love them all now. Because of this I'm more accepting of the newer Pokémon. Plus you really have to wait and see the official pictures and whatnot.

For me, I either like it immediately, like with Xerneas, or I'm meh at first but then I love it the most, like with Yveltal and Chespin. And then there are other times where I flat-out hate it at first, like with Sylveon, but then I love it -- it's now my favorite Eevee evolution!

Whatever the case, the Pokémon designers always win. They design this shit to grow on ya!
 
It's legs and toes look weird, and I don't like the big thing on its hips. But other than that I think it looks fine.
 
The gift bag makes him look awful but his design looks ok to me.

It's a legendary anyway, the fairy trio was worse and lazier.
 
I think this picture is probably real. Mewtwo is obviously getting a new form, and it can be easily explained with the GSC item Berserk Gene.

I don't think that's true at all. When the XY starters and legendaries were revealed the reaction was overwhelmingly positive. Because, you know, they were good.

But an alternate form of Mewtwo? He was cool enough. Seems like at best like a waste of time.
 
The poster picture has it facing away from Ash, the picture on the bag has it facing towards him, and his mouth seems open a bit.

So it's not like someone took an image and posted it on two different mediums.

I'm going with REAL, I'm feeling good about this. I went with my gut on the Unova Starters, and it worked out.
