you know, i've had that feeling since they moved to CBS. sure, it allowed them to do some great stuff with some guests, do better stuff technically but it seems they can't commit to anything these days.
why isn't bradley may cry a weekly thing until he finishes at least dmc1? wasn't he supposed to play through all the previous dmc games? what happened to breaking brad: doom 2? jurassic lark? load our last save? random pc game? patrick's horror games? all the old famicom and old games jeff and ryan bought? honestly, it seems to me they have so much stuff they can do, but they just don't bother.
just set up a schedule for this stuff, like, segment x happens on the first week of every month, stuff like that.
i'd argue that even the quicklooks are getting a little boring, but maybe that's just the games not being too interesting lately. as of right now, the only thing that's guaranteed it's the bombcast on tuesdays (i've never been much of a podcast fan), tnt thursday and unp. fridays.
that's monday and wednesday free for them to do whatever it is they would want to do.

rant over i guess, i still love these guys, they've provided great laughs these past 5 years.
 
Two Jeff joke templates I never get tired of:

Right after they get blinds they move! I bet their new gamespot location doesn't have blinds. Maybe they'll move into the giant green room.
 
This stream is fucking lame.

It's actually upsetting me, and I like never get bothered by anything they do... It really makes it seems like all their hmming and hawing over how they're too busy to put up new content is total bullshit.

I'm paying the sub fee, and what the fuck are they doing all day?
 
I've realized YEARS ago Vinny, Drew, and the engineers are the only busy people in the office. I sorta think this is cool though. Nothing I could watch alone but nice to have on while I work.

People are just now realizing that Giant Bomb's video content can be really lacking?
It's one of the main reasons I don't subscribe. Their premium stuff is so infrequent. Bombcast is the only thing you can really count on.

But Unprofessional Fridays is the best stuff they're doing at the moment.

This stream is fine, turning mandatory cleanup with half the crew out into a long ass mailbag. Crazy that 2500+ are watching, though.

On sale its $30 a year to subscribe. I don't see that as a big fee even if I don't get enough premium content that I want. Plus no ads is great. But watching unprofessional fridays has just cemented that they subscription is worth it. Amazing shit that is.

I don't care if they sit around doing nothing all day. More power to em! I wish I could I get away with that. I love their content, but throwing up a stream of them being sooo busy basically doing nothing (was it subscriber only?), it's kind of just ugh.

I don't want to be mad, I'm not trying to find something to be mad about, but that shit is just not cool.

jurassic lark part 1 happened in january, part 2 happened in april, last week.
yes, brad has to finish dmc1 first, but at the pace he's going, i'll probably be an old man before he even finishes 1. and they did a famicom stream, but didn't jeff go on a pc engine buying streak also? we never got that. the wednesday show didn't last long either.
again, the point is that there's no steady stream of content, which as some have pointed out, is nothing surprising. i just happen to think it's been worse since they moved to cbs.
i love these guys, but man, they should just commit a little more to these things.

Can't please GB haters. They give new content you cry, they get rid of it you cry. They do something stupid? You cry.

30 certainly seems more reasonable. I admit I haven't seen UF, and hearing good things about it makes me want to check it out, but I don't think I could justify the current asking price for that one thing alone.
 
Subscribing is worth it for the boxes app so that I can use the whiskey media app on android.

A player that doesn't suck and is portable? Awesome.
 
I am currently in a Starcraft II mood and have been watching their great videos from shortly after the launch back in 2010. SCII TNT in the Whiskey Media Office (tm) with the GB crew, and Will and Norm. Man, those were the days. (I mean before the Sausalito days, because, you know, those really were _the_ days.) I guess nostalgia can easily get the best of you...

I just hope the arrival of the Oculus at some point, as well as the next generation of consoles, can hype them up a little bit for games again. And then everything will be again as perfect as it never was...
 
Are some of you so seriously starved for things to do that 4++ hours a week (between TNT and the Friday show) of streamed content isn't enough? On top of the 3 hour bombcasts? And Quick Looks? And Jar Time? And the Wednesday show - which they stopped doing weekly for a great reason: it was content for the sake of content, and it was terrible when all of a sudden all they had was fishing games to play that week.

That assumes you are interested in consuming everything they produce. More content means more selection.
