Have you read Fishman Island arc?
Nah but feel free to spoil me.

I was hoping for some Big Boss-esque story about him forming his own Outer Heaven for detached and disillusioned mermen pirates. That big sea cow thing could have been the Metal Gear analogue!
I wish Extollere were here to comment on this.
Even dressed in formalwear as a special illustration for the upcoming live event, the Vividred cast can't be bothered to put on a damn pair of pants. Well, except for the teacher.

There is no true evil "villains" in One Piece so why kill them?
Huh?
Arlong, Spandam, Enel, Crocodile, Wapol, all the world nobles and plenty of other villains from One Piece are really despicable.
Absolutely. It's a very good show.

I thought Aoi was wearing some latex pants for a second there. Why is the teacher wearing pants?
We just get some backstory on Arlong and the reasons why he did what he did.
It's illegal for young girls to wear pants in the future. Only hot pants.
So, Episode 39 of Eureka 7. Random soccer episode out of nowhere. Either way, 10 episodes to go. This should be fun...

We just get some backstory on Arlong and the reasons why he did what he did, while also getting a fishman villain with absolutely no reason for being a dick.
Doesn't sound like a very realistic depiction of pirates then.

Evil villains don't exist in anime; everyone has a dumb tragic backstory to "justify" their actions.
Was my guess close?

Dio!

"Who would want to see so much skin on an old lady like me?" or some other dumb anime thing.
So you don't see her underwear.

Sounds like other dude will get explained sometime down the line if the pattern holds!

Nope, we got his full backstory there. In fact, the "wham" line of the arcafter being asked "what did humans ever do to you?" was "absolutely nothing." It was just racism born from seeing the hatred of other fishman.
What was the main villain's justification in the Alfheim Online part of SAO?
Oh, I completely forgot NeoGAF's favorite character:

While I can almost agree with this, part of me just really doesn't like Sae. I'm not bullying Natsume! I like her but she has unrequited love for the least best Hidamari. Every other character in the show is amazing though with Miya being top rank naturally. There's no such thing as a "worst Hidamari", only the least good. Also, stop bullying Natsume!
As good a reason as any!Delicious virtual tears?

Dio is like the poster child of tragic backstories.

marriage and money/power?

Knew that much, didn't know if it delved any deeper into why he was so twisted.

But Aizen
was simply doing it because he was alone at the top and needed a hug and a partner (Ichigo)
What about Vicious from Cowboy Bebop or have I just forgotten why he was the way he was?
