Unfortunately, I don't know. This site only provides some basic information. Detailed stuff costs money.
Where can we see how many people have tweeted in total?
It's not visible on the front page of r/gaming even though it has more upvotes over a shorter duration than many/most of the posts that are visible on the front page. Just checked and it's not on any of the first few pages, so I think it's safe to assume the mods decided to 'hide' it.
Adam Boyes is another good person to tweet, as he's a high up in developer/publisher relations https://twitter.com/amboyes
Why would they do that?
Developers and publishers want a piece of the resell revenue of games (right now Gamestop is getting 100% - reselling the same game mulitple times, which is lowering revenue for the people that made the game), there is no way Sony or MS go back on this.
Sorry. This campaign will not work for either team.
What might end up happening is that there is a resell activation fee on PS/XB online - so the reseller will have to lower the resell price by that amount (be it 5 or 10 dollars) to compensate for the online fee.
But that would imply that both the PS4 and XBO would have to be online to authenticate, which does not bode well for offline gamers (which are none of us posting here).
Here is a question...
Is Japan in on this? I mean they like to use twitter so it might be beneficial to have those in Japan where the Used Games market is very important help us out.
So we should all just give up and take it in the ass because some guy on a forum said but but but sony will do the same?.
There are multiple threads on 4chan's /v/ with intent to specifically UNDO what we're doing here.
I wont link to them in-case it's not allowed but you get the idea. I would have thought they of all people would be against DRM.

Accepting reality. You can all fight for your "rights", but unless your taking sony to court ain't no way they listen. This is about making money...This is about earning a piece of the pie gamestop earn from ripping as all off. If they rot away in the end i'd be very happy actually. I hate gamestop.
We know, from insider info that Sony IS considering this RIGHT now. So what makes you qualified to state otherwise? I'd believe in the person I trust a bit more and fight for my rights before giving up.

Would be nice if the rest of the games media actually bothered to report on this. Who have we had so far, Destructoid and Kotaku? This is a big deal, right, I'm not just getting caught up in the excitement?
In response to the Bonus Round episode, NeoGAF user famousmortimer created a thread suggesting that GAF members tweet Sony employees like president of worldwide studio Shuhei Yoshida and Scott Rohde, PlayStation software product development head. Using the hashtags #PS4NoDRM and #PS4USEDGAMES, they could make their feelings known and potentially sway the company away from DRM.
We've reached out to Sony to find out more about its used games and DRM strategies and will update this article with more information as it becomes available.

Resellers like Gamestop are getting all of the revenue generated from the re-sale of games, sometimes they sell the same game multiple times.
The people that make the game are getting shafted because their game is being purchased many times over, but none of the money is going to them.
I'm certain the publishers and developers have been heavily lobbying Sony and MS for a very long time for a solution that would give them a cut of that missing revenue - because resellers will not give out money from the resells willingly. Given how surprised gamestop was at the word of DRM, I'm guessing any kind of negotiation with resellers for a cut of the revenue did not go anywhere.
One of a few things could happen:
1. The fee for activating a used game is so high that buying a used game makes no sense.
2. The fee for activating a used game is low (ie. 5-10bucks), which would force resellers to lower their resell price to adjust for the online activation fee.
3. The threat of options 1 and 2 force resellers to give a % of revenue generated from preowned titles to publishers/developers.
Given how MS and Sony's stance on DRM for next gen is completely vague at this time, I would have to gather that they are angling for option 3 - but if it came to it, would go with option 2.
Option 3 is the only scenario where people don't have to pay authentication fees.
If you think there is an option 4: we campaign and they don't do any of it, you will be disappointed.

OK well you "accept reality" while we voice our concerns as customers and refuse to just take an ass fucking like good little sheep.
No that is just 4chan being 4chan. You can not expect anything else from a group of edgy teens that like to troll families of kids who commit suicide.Console wars/fanboys, serious business.

Quick someone ask Kamiya what he thinks! LOL

Exactly, and with this campaign the ball is in their court. They can't plead ignorance. THAT is the point.
Of course there is a chance that it might end in something like that, but its certainly not set in stone yet. All 3 options are bad for the consumer, which is also what people are fighting against. The publishers should have no hands in the used game markets. And considering how some Sony employees are reacting to this atm, I think the chances of YOU getting surprised arent as bad as you think.

To be fair, it's an American holiday today, so not many people are at work.
