Loving the NBC article. But Sony Employees have gone from "Hey, we love you guys and we hear you!!" to.... <crickets>. One can only presume this is because they were all told from high up to STFU. Which leads this negative nelly to believe, Sony Big Wigs want this to all blow over quickly and not having anyone latch on to or hold them to any particular twitter comment/idea/thought that one of their employees publicly muses.
And a flat out "Sorry World but we are going full steam ahead on DRM and cutting out used games" from Sony's camp would be twice the blow them, now in the spotlight as, as it was to Microsoft who has already seemingly gotten away with it.
So it is my thought that Sony is ignoring us now, hoping that (like most twitter campaigns) this will all be over in a couple days, cause they fully plan on going this route. They walk into e3 and feed us some variation of what Microsoft is doing, on account of commitments they already made to Satanic Arts, etc.
IMO At most, we can expect Sony to say the publishers will decide how they want to handle used games, and that Sony themselves are not "enforcing" anything either which way.
But they are not gonna block a publisher from doing it either, should that publisher choose.
How that would work I do not know, but I expect Sony to stay at arm's length, not play the 2nd hand police per se, but they won't be our knights in shining armor either.
That'd be my quess anyways.
