By the way, I'm only about 6 hours into the game but I'm not running out of ammo anymore - does that stay the same the rest of the game?

When people are complaining about the scores of a game they haven't even played yet then yes, the thread is that bad. It's Drake's Deception all over again.

I suggest joining the never give all of your trust to a developer and never judge a game by its review scores club. Giants always fall (Bioware, Blizzard, etc.).

Incredible scores. Too bad fanboys cant be happy and have to continuously complain about the lower ones. Movie fans would probably have ulcers if they cared as much about single reviews
The number of people doing this is a blip on the radar, and the skepticism has to do with Polygon's funding. The release will tell all, but as far as I can see, the maturity in this thread has yet to go into a downward spiral that you folks are trying to paint.

It's not about the low review scores ruining our experience, it's about the effect it has on naughty dog. Unfortunetly publishers use metacritic for business negotiations and bonuses with developers. It also affects sales. The last of us seems like it is one of the best games in its genre. It probably deserves at least 9-10.
In a day where studios invest so much money and go out of business, then yes, a fair review of the game is important. It's just reality, I only hope the game sells many millions to support the genius that is Naughty Dog.

When people make generalized posts after coming into this thread on like page 42, they're just as bad as the people they're criticizing. There were FAR more people eager for the meltdowns. Coming in and pointing fingers is asinine when most people don't even realize Horse Armour was being sarcastic.

Secret Sauce is the term that people came up when the Xbox One specs (then durango) were less than many expected when they leaked. Many were adamant there was something not leaked that would boost the specs but it turned out to be whole bunch of nothing.
